You should be able to run that even with the 50% max mana

I can run:

Discipline (34%)
Hatred (34%)
Tempest Shield + LL (19%)
Clarity

and I still have enough mana (about 140) to cast EK permanently (assuming full regen)

However, with that 50% max mana penalty, your base mana regen will suffer a lot and you wont be able to run a very high leveled arctic armor, which gives you a ton of defense.



I have a question for Rathik:

I'm currently level 84 in domination and am doing quite well.

However, I see you're not running life leech on your EK and are instead opting for Iron Will. while this seems like a wonderful idea, I can't fathom how you manage to stay alive at high 70 maps without lifeleech on EK.

Molten shell is strong life leech, yes, but I don't see it sustaining through the high-damaging bosses and packs later on.

Can you elaborate on your sustain in this regard? I want to grab another DPS gem for my 6L but I just can't drop life leech without greatly risking death.

Oh believe me, I use life leech on hard maps. I am not relying on molten shell life leech one bit.
I constantly change gems depending on the map mods.

On low regen I use life leech + iron will, since AA is off and iron will is cheaper than added fire.
On no regen I replace FP with mana leech.
On elemental reflect I replace added fire with iron will.
On physical reflect I use added fire instead of iron will.
On elemental + physical reflect, I might even turn hatred off.
If is an easy map I'll use iron will + added fire but I am being more alert.
Elemental reflect is more dangerous than physical reflect since you don't have an auto IM skill to protect you.

It all depends on how good your defensive gear is and the map mods.
Currently I am at 21k DPS with iron will and added fire.

That said if you have 13-14k DPS with 300% multiplier, you will still one shot monsters.
People tend to forget that physical damage is not resisted/reduced by monsters as elemental damage does and the monsters that do resist physical damage are very few.

There is a "LEVELING SECTION" in page 1 ... must be blind to not seeing it !!!

And around lvl 30 you do anything you want really. Normal is not that hard to need any tips.
