The build is design to deal direct physical and some cold/fire damage (not elemental damage over time).
When you get a critical hit, most of the times the monster will be one shotted and if not, it will die on the next hit.
Waiting for damage of time effects is just to slow with out the right skill tree points.

Nice build btw, been using it for the longest of time.

Would you recommend faster casting or spell echo?

I am kinda taking a break from the game so I didn't test echo gem.

Just use it and see what feels better.

hey could you PLZ reallocate all your passive skills, i was in the middle of the build and they reset the skills since patch 1.2 with the tree revision and have absolutly no memory of all the points!!!! Thankyou

Also spell echo > faster casting. About 1k more dps but it depends on the cast speed you have from other gear.
