The Correct way to do fuse lotteries

First off - if you want to do a fusing lottery, have a stream; if not don't bother.

Now for the interesting part:
If you want a successful fusing lottery, split your "prize" pool into 2 parts.

1. For the person who linked it (obviously)
And
2. For the person who used the most fusings.

I would suggest giving the person who linked it 75% of the prize, and the other 25% to the person who used the most fusings.

Ex. I have 12 exalt to give for 6 linking my shav.

Person 1 used 350 fusings- did not link it
Person 2 used only 15 fusings to link it.
Person 1 wins 3 exalt and person 2 wins 9 exalt.

The reasoning for this follows:
First off, it gets people to dedicate many more fusings to your 6-linking.
Second, compensates for the large amount lost if someone didn't "win".
To elaborate: it makes people feel more secure about throwing their currency at you.
Lastly, it entices competition to whoever has the most fusings put into it.

No matter how things turn out, it becomes a win-win situation for most.
I hope to see this method used :).

Have a good day.

There is no proper way to do fusing lotteries, link the damn items yourselves.

People actually do lotteries?

I thought they were all scams.
"Hey theah, this is Chris WIlson from Grinding Geah Gaimes. This week Oih'd like to talk to you aboaut using a regal Ohb on youh Tyrannical Tornadoh wand af Destruction! Today is youh daaay and I am answering your prayahs!"
they are scams, not lotteries, and the people running them don't care about doing it "correctly"

they just want to fuck people over and get a cheap 6L.

that is all.
That's why I put the part about streaming at the top. Anyone who isn't going to stream their fusings is most likely a scammer. There is a chance though that someone who streams will still scam, but it is unlikely. Not everybody playing this game is a scumbag, (although, sadly we all assume everybody is out to cheat us of our money to protect our selves.)

Being streaming has absolutely no impact at ALL on it.

Yes, we agree most lotteries are scams. This post was intended for that small percent who are honest.

Crafting doesn't exist in POE. Gambling does...and the house always wins.

Velocireptile - I LOL'ed. Which made me fart. I wish the office were empty right now :(

Hardlicker - I had to push the dog out of the way so I could get to the sexy quilt.
Fusing orbs need to be changed to link two sockets together but without removing old links.

Though the new link could be calculated in any space, so if it pops up over an existing link then you waste an orb.

Jewelers should work similar, 1 jeweler = +1 socket.
