The rich get richer, the poor get screwed

I find it pretty interesting that this happens almost universally in any game with economy or the real world.

The more currency you have, the more you can play with it, flip items, but and sit on stuff for a few months to make predictions. Craft and try get godly items to resell. Rich enough to buy an item? Wait until it goes legacy, then you're double rich!

All the while some poor guy who has barely managed to save up 5 ex just had to spend it to get build enabling gear. Hes got nothing to make money with. Worse yet, hes probably just made the rich guy richer with the shite he just bought at inflated price.

Also have a feeling that the richest players in the game got a kick start RMT-ing.

discuss?

That was just not necessary, at all.

with 5ex you can easily start flipping items.

But I guess you are one of those lazy types that wants everything for free?

Sorry brah that is just like the real world as well you won't get anything for free so instead of wasting your time on the forum start trading!

But trading is painfully boring and doesn't even let you play the game half the time. Id rather be poor than spend 12 hours a day in trade chat instead of farming..

Ya, 5ex is easily enough to start flipping if that is the gameplay direction you want to go. It is incredibly boring so I will pass, but if all you are about is your currency tab feel free. The rich really don't need RMT'ing. The reality is they probably got there via flipping anyway.
Flipping items is not at all why I started playing Path of Exile. I will not resort to doing it, I get by just fine.

ya the one thing I don't like is that if you wish to get rich or rich enough to buy gear, the last thing you should be doing is actually playing the game.

Some of you neophytes don't realize that some of us rich people got rich without using RMT. We can also play the game doing maps and TRADE at the same time... it's not hard at all. I come from MASTER LEAGUE level play on Starcraft 2, and that game requires way way way more multitasking than this game. It's super easy for me to do a map and trade at the same time...

People need to stop generalizing us rich people... some of us got to where we are LEGIT.

I agree with you. An ARPG shouldn't be playign a trading game, it should be killing mobs for good loot.

Yea, that is indeed impressive. You are the minority though tbh.

Well, ive made some 60-70 exalts by playing like a mad man and selling any decent item I get at 1-2 exalts below its value so I can get back to farming faster, but its nothing compared to what could be done JUST flipping.
