No Summoner!!!

From my experience - I used to play as a summoner and didn't have any fps issues at all (well... almost). However - when I play WITH summoner, my fps goes crazy most of the time. Im not sure why it works that way, but it is what it is. Thats why I usually avoid summoners in parties, even though I know that they bring a lot of dps, minions etc.

Only noobs say this. In higher level maps people love summoners.

Many parties exclude Summoners from joining their grind fest due to the sole reason that they cause massive FPS drops especially when they have 10+ Zombies, 4 Spectres and a bazillion Skeletons in front of your face blocking your vision and preventing you from distinguishing who is who.

Wish I knew the answer, but the ones listed here probably hit close to home.

However, my summoner is a welcomed site to most parties in Onslaught.

The lag is cause by summoners using the curtains specters.

Those fire balls linked with GMP which every noob things is a good build will bring almost all graphic cards to its knees.

All other specters are pretty much ok to use.

It is people having bad PC's. Look at a lot of the in-game screenshots posted around the forums and the insane amount of people who play POE with it looking like the art was done by a 5 year old in MS Paint. It makes me die a little inside each time I see a screenshot like that.

I -love- partying with 5 other summoners. Having 100+ minions on the screen is something that everybody should see/experience, even if playing on a toaster with a can-and-string connection.

i only play with friends but they love my summoner since they can attack with reckless abandon with all those minions soaking up all the damage. It also makes maps a hell of a lot easier.

I love the GMP Fireball spectres. And my computer is older than dirt. My gfx card isn't even supported anymore.
No issues. At all.

Why do some people have these issues and others don't? It doesn't seem to have anything with how awesome your computer is.
