Perz' Reave Shadow

Hi Perz,
Thanks for the awesome guide! I've been having a lot of fun with the build though I'm only lvl63 atm. I noticed that in your updated skill trees you left out Ondar's Guile across the board. Is there a reason for this? Or do you just feel the points are better spent elsewhere?

interested in that too. you can't leech when a ranged enemy attacks.

and some things are pretty deadly ranged, like porcupines in imperial gardens because they die in groups.

might be because perz latest build went armor...
yea i saw that i left out ondar's, because i was only playing IR lately. i should put it back in there since it's awsome for evasion chars.

at what lvl would you recommend getting CI or to be exact, how much ES should I aim for before I do it??

I am Lvl 86 and i have big mana problems. You too ?
Solo and Group i have 3 mana flasks . without mana i make nothing in a group of mobbs and i die.
But i see no gear with mana leach or anithing in your inventury.

I think i dont need any defence above big ES pool, CWDT Immortal Call, Hatred freeze and instant life leech. "Why should i dodge blows i dont care?" :) Iron Reflexes can help, when you use Granite+Jade flasks simultaneously, but i dont like to spend 6 points on that, though (theoretically) it can be useful to mitigate physical oneshots - the only thing i really care about. Armour isnt as strong as players usually think, in fact. Damage from small hits is mitigated by IC anyway, so only big hits matter, and we both know, armour isnt very good at mitigating those, only 2 flasks drinked at once (with IR) provide enough armour to make a decent mitigation, while armour/evasion on gear or from Grace isnt worth investments, usually.
In your thread, you advice players to mitigate damage with armour or evasion, while having pretty small ES pool. Have you done any real math to prove, that armour/evasion can be as good as just a big chunk of ES?

As for build you suggested... it's obviously for Reave skill :). You got extra physical damage (claw clusters), and Reave more needs it, because it doesnt use Melee Splash gem. You skipped lots of crit nodes, but that doesnt matter so much for Reave. You got Harrier - attack speed is much more important for Reave. I wonder, why you skipped Berserking - it would be very useful for Reave, too.
I tried to get as much critical strike chance as i could. Any extra points i would definetely invested into those 2 claw clusters. I also thought about Scion - she fits better there, and saves some nodes (that can be invested into claw clusters).
However, you also got a lot of "reduced mana reserve" nodes. Do you intend to run 3 auras?

Please, tell your attack speed, manacost of your main skill, your maximum and free mana pools, physical damage done per hit, critical strike chance and multiplier, chance to hit, %mana leech. I dont think it's possible to help you properly without that info.

Most players underetimate the importance of mana management. Since 1.1, mana leech from attacks NO LONGER STACKS! Only the most powerful leech takes effect, additional hits (or hits to multiple targets) dont increase mana leech duration, the all act independantly (like Burns) and only one, most powerful effect takes place. If you dont use quality mana leech gem, all you mana leech will have the same power (20% of total mana), only durations will differ, and they will NOT stack.
You will, most probably, need to have higher damage, or higher mana leech %, or, maybe, higher mana pool or free mana pool - it depends on ifo you'll provide

the best def is a big es pool with high res and IC. but since my build only gets 6k es max i have to focus on alternative sources of def such as evasion and armor, which both work pretty good. i don't have time right now to discuss those builds but let's not confuse all those different builds like low life shavs, ci with 1k es armor, ci with carcass etc..they all require different passive trees.
