Razer Footprints: Poll
I like.
Although these footprints may look a little bit flashing to me, I really understand this kind of soft and intelligent ingame advertisement. Funny thing is, I didn't know what Razer was and never saw their logo before. So rather than thinking these footprints are in fact an advertisement, I "imagine" Razer's logo as inspired by this new green microtransaction. Last edited by krilin#4380 on Aug 31, 2013, 5:28:13 AM

Why GGG is using such limited forums engine from 15 years ago is beyond me. Forum pools suck like that. Either way I'm:

I dislike the footprints because they're a bit too big and flashy for my tastes compared to the other effects. As far as it being the Razer logo...don't really care and don't see it as being a big problem. Seems that GGG is beginning to learn that to maintain their game that they can't rely upon just their fans alone because most of those fans can only do so much and when you want to publish a game and make a return on it...well...MONEY is a big thing. Not even just a return, but just keep the game going and running for the fans and the 'fans', or rather the greedy gamers that want everything for free and cry foul at every step.
Sadly, the gaming world isn't, and honestly never was, this rosy place that companies/indie developers can live off of fan support alone. Perhaps smaller games with smaller, more manageable budgets can for a time, but after that...when you want to push your product and start to play with 'the big boys'...well...it's a whole new ball game. GGG is beginning to understand that, and I have no doubt this deal with Razer is something they considered and are very grateful to get such support from a big, well-known company amongst gamers. They get money, advertisement, and support, and in return they put Razer's logo into their game and that is the way it is. Though as stated before I personally think the logo is bit too stand-outish and could use some re-designing. However, I don't hate the idea overall and understand why it's there. |

I have no issues with them, they are there for a second and gone. People are making mountains out of molehills and assuming that 1 game "add" is going to result in pepsi commercials running whenever you click on a vendor - this is called the 'slippery slope' fallacy, and it is being committed in record amounts on the PoE forums of late.

I tend to agree with Wittgenstein on this but I guess anything is possible. Do any of us know how well GGG is doing financially?
