Self-Found (League) [Thread outdated!]

If your suggestion is a league with trading disabled Im all for it.
Saying you are lvl99 with best in slot gear currently means NOTHING. Anyone can buy or trade into an uber character. With self found league, you actually have bragging rights. |

Still waiting for this to happen.
I mean honestly.. it would be so, so, so much fun! I really like playing SF as far as I can get, and having a leauge strictly for it would be just amazing. Let's hope GGG releases it at game-release, but that might be hoping too much. :-) |

I do not see the necessity for "changes in game mechanics" like increasing droprates or link chances though... This game focusses on drops - drops are generated by grinding - so if you want an upgrade you have to grind, not change game mechanics! People who invest more time will always have better equipment, deal with it! Just give me a league without trade possibilities and I am happy :-) Forums are SOOO much fun on patch day!
Casuals play because it's fun, not to achieve any goal unreachable with their resources. We are playing for the next difficulty, the next keystone, the next item upgrade. Not to feel better than anyone else. |

" If you think D3 will ever go self-found, you're out of your mind. If you think the removal of the D3 AH has anything to do with the elimination of trading, you're crazy. If you think that this move (a move, mind you, to what PoE is already doing) is somehow a referendum that GGG should cater to this ridiculous idea, you're just plain nuts. The biggest game in the genre has just made a major change to embrace the system PoE already has in place right now. If anything, this is just proof positive that GGG should stay the course.
