ScrotieMcB vs Desync Dev Manifesto (Massive Wall Map of Text)

I'm amazed that Chris apparently read either most or all of this. Its a hot button issue but I hope even technically savy people will read what Chris said and be patient or take a break from the game. Moaning about it or making suggestions that aren't helping because they lack information is pretty pointless.

We have been silent long enough. Every time it's said they have things in the works, which in essence means we should keep quiet since it's all under control, but we cannot keep quiet forever when nothing changes.

They aren't magicians. What does more complaining accomplish? What do you think is going to happen? They are going to be like..."Oh look some people are complaining about desych, thats new, I guess we had better start working on it!"

By throwing away your critical thinking and assuming that it will be fixed soonish, you are effectively removing a part of their incentive to care.

You are just running around telling people they cannot discuss whatever they want to discuss, based on your opinion that it is irrelevant. Take your own advise and remain quiet if you have nothing constructive to add to the thread.

Others have realized the time to stay silent is past, that you have not obtained this knowledge is not my concern. This is my last comment in this regard as it's a waste of posts arguing about that rather than the actual topic.

If you were critical thinking you wouldn't be crying about desych like your crys do anything. I never said deynch would be fixed soonish, I just think they are obviously working on it. Its not like they are ignoring anything or that there is some simple solution.

I never said people couldn't, I just gave my opinion that its pointless. My opinion is no more irrelevant than yours is. I feel that what I said is far more constructive than anyone continually whining about desynch.

Based on what? People have never been silent, theres regular threads with people angry and quitting over desynch. Its been a well known issue forever now.

Either argument accomplishes nothing. But thanks for that, arguing with you has always been mind numbingly terrible anyhow.

If it takes a magician to fix desync, then I guess they should start hiring magicians.

A good sum of the logic surrounding people bitching about desync.

Well, if you've ever worked in a setting where you have to create or manufacture goods for a specific (often measurable) purpose, that is exactly the kind of logic you will encounter on a daily basis.

It's pretty normal.

Results matter. Excuses don't.
RIP POE
and people still ignore the fact that most of the components that would fix the most irritating part of desync are already in place..

game client most probably knows where all monsters are (for sure it knows when monster you target with fire/bear trap is - it will always go to the correct position)

also sounds played when fighting desynced fight are different - so the sound engine also knows where the monsters are (or at least some of them)

on hit animation plays only for monsters that are hit on server - so this bit is also there

connecting these dots does not require magicians.
