Don't Remove MF from the Game; Just Cut it in Half

Your suggestions only cater to the casuals which don't even play the game much. You just want everything handed to you with no work and the only classes that should be possible is dps/tank.

When will you learn that removing aspects from a game is generally a bad idea?

Problem here is the grass is always greener on the other side and jealousy is a bad thing.

Everything in quotes is BS.

If your going to throw the word casual around at least define it. Also you apparently think that playing solo should be much worse than grouping when the devs have stated the game was designed around solo play.

BTW soloing is harder than grouping so I don't know where you get off saying that a casual solo player wants stuff handed to him when he is already playing in a more difficult style.

You do know casuals can also join groups right?

Just to clarify, AngryWeasel, are you on my side or not? I can't tell whether your original post was attacking me or defending me.

I'm not attacking anyone but I do not agree with nerfing MF.

Add dimining returns starting after 100 or so like stun threshold.

Most suggestions I see don't ask for it to be removed, but to be taken off of gear and implemented some other way. Preferably one that is much harder or less likely to be exploited by the player base.
Full agreement on the mf change. The affixes do not even need change, a serverside diminishing return could do the trick.

The idea with the portals sounds quite nice. You can enter an instance of a map just once. If you run the map with 5 guys, one portal is left and you can solo a new instance later. But this will need quite some rework of the current system and is kind of complicated in usage.

That makes sense for reductions (since reducing to 0 is kind of like going infinite); it's not a good solution for increases. Increases have their own internal diminishing returns already; going from 0 to 20 means 20% more, going from 100 to 120 means 10% more. IIQ and IIR are currently too strong despite a diminishing return system already being in place.

It could be as simple as: go to map device, press button without adding map, all portals are now directed at a new instance.

Exploited? You mean used right? nothing exploitable by using MF gear.

There is something for everyone in this game and I don't believe anyone gets anything out of nerfing MF other than remove an entire spec from the game.

make a dps spec get 50/150 and clear 3x the speed of a full Mfer thats how u MF solo.

MF for groups is a purely defensive spec with little to no dps other than the culling.

It's silly that people think that u need 300+ MF to get anything in return. A faster kill speed with a bit IIQ/IIR will do the same.

Don't know about the other leagues but there is always parties in Onslaught with Mfers so I really fail to see the issue.

When you get to maps, not even close to 100/300; clear speed doesn't matter nearly as much as loot per map, because running at 3x speed means 3x the map cost.

Now reread the OP (the entire OP) and tell me how exactly I'd be nerfing 100/300 MF builds again. Because actually this suggestion doesn't nerf them; it keeps them the same.
