[1.0.5] - Lvl 100 - Blastrophe's LA / Frenzy Life Based Crit Ranger w Video (Lioneyes or Voltaxic)

you are lacking critchance, critmultiplier und weapon elemental damage. weapon elemental damage and a weapon with a high amount of elemental damage, especially lightning, will give you a fast damage increase.

Would this build be viable for HC? And really curious to how you deal with thorns, thanks! (build looking really sick btw!)

Thorns doesn't hurt at all. The only way I die or the last time I died was to a pack of rhoas that hit me all at the same time in a 76 map with monster damage and extra dmg as an element. It was the funniest death I have ever experienced cause they literally all hit me at the same time. Besides stupid shit I do and die previously the build itself hasn't killed me since Voltaxic i.e reflect etc. The only real problem with Voltaxic is that high level bosses like Piety or the Crema boss takes a long time to kill (because of chaos resist) but if you are well off (currency wise) you can pick up a 5L lioneyes and have it as back up in stash for boss fights (it would destroy them).

Alright, using split arrow atm with a voltaxic but I have always loved LA. Might just try it out now with your build :)

Hey all!
I have been following your build up since beta and was having so much fun then.
My ranger (IGN AeroPro) is now level 70, and after the 1.0.0 patch, I seem to do barely any dmg in parties and die a heck lot even with granite flasks..

I can barely run any auras, as it takes away about 1.6k out of my 3.5k health..
my frenzy dps is ~2000
LA ~500(I mean wtf?)

I could post a vid if you tell me how to record it(maps, docks,etc) but it'll take at least a week

help me out here!!- as im on the verge of selling all my equips for another char. that needs fund (I have like 3 chaos in my stash)
I know my headgear is worthless as I'm not running any auras.
Will greatly appreciate some guidance on how I could raise my dps (its 10% of urs for gods sake) and my survivability..
If you tell me I should farm more and get a kaoms.. uh.. this is my highest lv char and all my chars are noobs (can't run maps)
I've already been offered 2ex 10chaos for my bow and was debating wether or not to quit my ranger

Using a couple of frost walls with cast on Damage taken and then swapping chain for pierce is a very cool idea...

Probably less than LA but im just scared of 1shotting myself to thorns.. which would really suck since I play in hardcore..

I just changed away from this build into a combination of this + another build but having spent the large majority of my time following Blast's skill tree and gear setup almost to the letter I feel pretty confident when I say the following...


Don't try this build in hardcore. I cant be assed to look it up but there is another ranger build here made by someone who plays HC that is much better setup for that. This build is definitely for the sofcore player that has tons of currency and a toy character that wants to shit damage.


Using voltaxic and stacking lightning dammage out the wazoo because reflect/thorns doesnt matter and firing a couple arrows into a pack of magics and watching them go POOF is what this build is made for. Without best in slot gear you won't make it to 80


edit: to answer your question thorns isn't a huge deal because you don't do a whole lot of phys damage to begin with. Voltaxic is all ele.

It is but if you play in a group like I do its annoying for other and it will most likely get you kicked from the group but if your a solo player it looks pretty strong.
