You can level supported gems, as long as you dont go over the requirement of the cast when damage taken. At CwDT skill lvl 1 there is a requirement of character lvl 31. you can level up the supported gems to this same "character" level. This is only for active gems though. "support" gems I believe can be leveled to max, like Increased Duration. They are tied to the active gem they support and afaik shouldn't be affected by the CwDT restriction.

Correct. Also worth noting that the original statement about not leveling CWDT was probably from when the gem was first added and before that change was made.

I'm back after a while, just to see that new 1.2.
Since the trees have been reset, I can't remember how it was before ... and how to set it quickly to re-play.

Dual Strike NON-BoR

This is what I'm running on my level 85 duelist currently. No Bringer of Rain, but I'm using a 5L with Blind (which was recently nerfed to 50% chance for enemies' attacks to miss instead of 75%). Resists also got nerfed on the tree, so you'll have to account for that on gear. The life leech cluster in the marauder area is alright, but you should try and have leech on gear (I run wurm's molt belt). If you're using Soul Taker, drop the mana nodes in the duelist area and fill out the three nodes in the starting area next to it

Any update on this? its been 11 days, should i go with the quick build he has for the Cyclone variant or what? I just came back from taking a break starting about 3 weeks after the release of Vaal so I am kind of out of the loop.

I have 3ex to get a BoR if i can find one for cheap so if i need to, I will get it, I was running his build following the release of Vaal so i was using Dual Strike until I could support cyclone(I love using cyclone even if I couldnt support it >.< Somthing about spin to win and tearing peoples faces off just rustles my jimmies. lol).

Any help is appreciated, seeing as how I just returned from a several month leave.

EDIT: Just bought a BoR and identified, it, crappy hp roll but eh, what are you gonna do.

Here is my gear so far. I am running up to 70 maps and soloing dominus runs until I get better.
All self found which I consider to be pretty good. Feel free to recommend upgrades.

I run Hatred and Herald of Ash.

why do you guys need his update? I mean he could be having personal problems, went to jail or who knows.

I took a look at the build, got inspired and found a soul taker in rampage so I'm sort of just using this as like a template or whatever, you don't need someone to hold your hand through the whole thing.

so far this is what I got going at lvl 51 and leveling is a breeze, I started yesterday.



just gotta level up a bit more and this will be put to work finally!

the other hand will just have this I guess until I find something better and I'll just add attack speed for a few alc's through the master
