" He bought it for that price, after making a guide like this the demand for high dps weapons increases alot. This ofcourse goes along with higher prices. i was lucky and got a 300 dps sword for 1,7 ex 2 days ago |

i've followed this build and obviously it works amazingly well.
i also didn't have the currency to buy 300 dps weapons or anything but have made and making due with anything i find + my soul taker. i don't see the damage as any type of issue either, more of a convenience factor. If you have lowerish dps (like me, i only have 14.5k with LGoH) you still kill things extremely fast even while partied, but you remain basically invincible. with such defense, the blind from attacking so fast, and LGoH i have not seen anything that can touch me, especially solo. i really like the build, but honestly it bugs the hell outta me that im following a set build. so i thought up a similar concept to ranger start and based off evade. I may also stick with dual strike in order to use whatever good weapon im able to find, since i can't afford anything epic on my own. However this also allows me to get a high dps/high crit chance dagger and possibly add in some crit chance nodes that are close by to spike dps a little further. its up in the air at this point |

With the 2 defensive hardcore builds, how much DPS is sacrificed?
At the moment I'm doing ~14k with Blood Magic and LGoH, which is fairly decent, but survivability can be tricky with some harder hitting map mods. If I only need to trade off 3-4k dps for a better life pool and surviving I can deal :) Playing in Anarchy, surviving isn't essential, but I'd like a decent balance, and I can drop DPS for it. " I was able to get 50k cleave on HC with the offensive build and around 40k cleave with the defensive build. But all in all... the extra life didn't help all that much since shit just fell over, was blinded or i blocked. I suggest getting iir/iiq gear and farming for rares in normal or cruel docks to get the currency for better gear. IGN: Srslyagain PM me bins on items I bid on if you have one. " What about dealing with chilled/frozen, as life total has an impact on the chance of that. I get frozen more than I'd like to, +% cold damage map modifier hurts me a lot sometimes. Running 2.3k right now, not a lot I know, but seeing the videos here, having ~3k isn't a lot more, gotta basically just wait from slightly more hp per item then there. Doesn't seem like a lot, and +% ele dmg modifier makes boss fights hit super hard. Carnage/Cole 90% shots me right now with ok modifiers. One question, why start as a Duelist? Is the 6%IAS node better than the 15% melee physical damage node that you would get if you started as a maurader? Also, do you really need the extra dex you get as a duelist? In general, isn't strength better for this build because accuracy rating doesn't matter.
Just a thought. IGN: IskyOfTheSea

I started a blender build when onslaught began by following this guide. But watching pretty much all the blenders I knew who had better gear and more hp than I did get killed in onslaught, I realized even the hardcore variations don't have enough hp. If you go around a corner and rhoas with extra elemental damage hits you, you will get killed before you even have the chance to react. Even with almost 5k Hp I get some close calls.
I think have 40k dps and 3k hp is great for clearing but setting for 20-30k and alot more hp is safer in the long run if you want to run maps. " All of the duelist starting nodes are great for the build so even if you start as a marauder you should probably go and take the nodes anyway. " Right, I'm not asking about a build change at all. I'm just saying it seems slightly more optimal to start as a marauder to perhaps get the extra strength. The only difference in nodes, is you take the maurader's +15% physical damage node by itself instead of the duelist's 6%IAS node by itself (like on the sword build). The axe/sword build could actually be exactly the same, though you might want to swap something out to get that 15% physical damage node... IGN: IskyOfTheSea
