[OSX] Unofficial Path of Exile port - 30/12/2018 status update
" 4.0 probably does not work on 10.7.5, use 3.7 or 3.6 |

" I've tried with a mighty mouse and still have the same issues. Again, it works fine on 3.6, not sure what has changed in 4.0 to make the behavior happen :S |

" 4.0 has a tons of changes in code.. It would be almost impossible to find source of this problem. Also please try mouse which does not have Apple logo on it... (if you have one) Last edited by julus#1066 on Feb 5, 2013, 10:40:28 PM

4.0.1 up. I really hope it fixed crashes on 10.6 and 10.7 because I don't know where else the error can be..

" Tried. Works perfectly. Will continue testing. The colours seems to be lacking some contrast though. Good job! IGN: Mr_siao

Hello guys!
I got this problem with freeze lag. I have tried searching for others with the same problem but i can find any answers. I have an early Macbook pro 15" and I have recently upgraded my memory from 4gb to 8gb This lagging occurs all the time, every maybe 3-4 second. When looking at the F1 stats i have: 15-20 Frame time (ms) Around 60 FPS but like every 4 second or something it drops to 0 and then up again Latency (ms) Around 50 Im not very good at computers and don't know if this is good stats to have (except the drop). Is there anybody else that have this freeze lag? The thing is i have good graphics, windowed my screen to half the computer screen and it runs smooth between the FPS drops. But i really can't figure this out, even my like 7 years old windows can manage the game. I can play other games really well without lag so there must be something I'm doing wrong here or something i can change in the config. I was thinking about maybe i could change the config to have the same graphic card as my other computer to trick it and give me worse graphic without fps drop but i don't wanna mess up so ill wait :P Please help me figure this out so i can play on my mac :) Thanks! |

" You weren't kidding - I changed to fullscreen and 1680x1050 and many instances, like Chamber of Sins and Ancient Pyramid that were dreadful before, are now rather smooth. Even skills like Lightning Strike and Heavy Strike work without awful lag spikes. This is looking good now... I still need to figure out how I can use other mouse buttons for skills. Left and right work but none other. EDIT I just removed Mission Control shortcut from scroll button and now it works /EDIT " Hello and welcome Nickeman. Freeze and lag can be game-related issues, not always caused by Wine. There are many people who have reported those issues, surely you find them if you look around a bit more. You stated an "early MBPro". What version exactly, it doesn't sound very early if it can support 8GB of RAM. Which wrapper are you using? Try different wrappers too, look a few pages back or check the FAQ how to change wrappers. Basically you need to download a new wrapper and copy Content.ggpk to new wrapper, then launch. Imac i7 here with 16GB ram (mid 2010) running the 4.0 on mac OSX 10.8.x (not sure, not at computer now)
and i have to say it runs very smooth. I run it at my max resolution of 1920*1080 with everything high. The only problem i'm having is that when i encounter a elite pack or a boss i lags me for a half second. But i hear thats not wine related but also happens in windows. Just want to say, thank you for the time you have put in this. I'm very happy i can play this on my mac. A native port from GGG would be great, but for now we can play! |

" That is windows bug, not wine... GGG will fix that in further patches Last edited by julus#1066 on Feb 6, 2013, 8:47:15 AM
