Why I will NOT buy a supporter pack or buy from the shop

I love all the 'if xy happens I will donate' threads. Most of the time they never donate, not even if xy happens.

Personally, I trust that GGG is working on it. I don't even give a shit if it is #1 Priority or not, I am fine as long as 1 Dude is working on it.

FYI, they need MT-Effects every patch to make money. More money = More staff = More people can work on desync etc.

I work in an office and I can tell you. Even if I have high priority matters on my desk I can't just let everything else slide for weeks/months to finish them up. The world would stop turning.

I would love to see player numbers from the first month of OB compared to now. This game is slowly becoming a ghost town and it is mainly due to desync and poor performance optimization. If they don't get this shit under control, this game is only going to keep losing players and they will probably be forced to shut down the servers.

Uhm yeah, fix desync please. I bring up my old post of how GGG should reallocate their manpower so Tsoukalos can better appreciate GGG's situation. If there is a magic script that fixes desync, GGG will have used it. And anyone else who thinks GGG can simply shift manpower to sort this out. Not everyone at GGG is pro at code.

GGG should bring more of their staff to fix the desync. Come on! Use the graphics guy, the rigger guy, the sound effects guy, the storyboard guy, the uniques designer guy, that portraits artist guy, the voice acting guys & gals, the pizza guys, the delivery guy, the postal guy, the toilet cleaner guy.

Whatever. thank you for your understanding

What about the guy that sits next to Chris Wilson on his desk and whispers "Memento mori" in his ear all the time?

No, you wouldn't. Or "Love" (in bold letters, no less) has a different meaning where you come from (Greece?).
That's not a bad thing per se - I know people playing this game that haven't bought anything.
It's just that in my book using a problem the game has (desync) as an apology not to spend money on it a bit lacking in tact. You could've joined one of the desync threads, even opened yet another one to express your feelings. The way you did it is a bit like going Nah nah nah, I play your game but I won't give you money to develop it because there is one bit I don't like.

Of course it is still feedback you're giving, but useful feedback should also be constructive. I mean, GGG DO know about desync and are putting lipstick on the pig until they find a way to really fix the issue.
If you have an idea how they can fix desync without compromising (too many of) their ideas, go ahead, post it or mail it.

That was a good one! Thanks for the laugh.

From past experiences with supporting games that have not fixed desynchronization, I don't feel comfortable donating when a problem such as it hasn't been fixed: especially if their stance on it is pretty much That we recognize the issue, and don't want to do any of the things that fix it.

I'm essentially in the same place as the OP. I'd like to purchase a large donation to the game, but I won't until the issue that is most impactful to my fun is fixed.

The only reason I still play Diablo 3 is because at least the mobs are where they claim to be.
all this guy can do is complain, complain and complain . . . Seriously

Exactly, Mik.
He'll find some other fault and use it as an excuse not to support. Most likely he'll think "I'm not going to donate because the color of the fonts GGG uses isn't pink."

You kids are funny. The only thing I have to complain about is desync and once I can effectively play hardcore without dying because of it, I will gladly spend some money on this game.
