Why I will NOT buy a supporter pack or buy from the shop

One comes to mind that is in a way very similar to PoE, since it is an aRPG: Diablo III

It doesn't have the same issues with desync, but it DOES desync (rubberbanding occurs). It's less responsive, too - which might be caused by Blizzard's way how to deal with delay; I'm quite sure I read something about that in this very thread.
Since I don't play many online games, I can't provide more examples where desync really happens.

I've never experienced desync or rubberbanding in Diablo III and it always ran smooth for me.
Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Possibly. I, on the other hand, have. It's not as bad as PoE desync can get (most of the times - a few days ago I had a massive desync with DIII with a latency of 2500(!) ms - note: normally I have 50 to 80 ms), but it is there and the question was, which other online games had desync.
It's running smooth here, too. But you can feel a slight delay when clicking on the ground.

I bought a supporter pack and additional premium stash tabs and really dislike the points system they've implemented, especially how you can't spend an exact amount and have nothing left over after the transaction (There is always some amount of points left over, often a useless amount).

I ain't buying any glowy/special effects/pet microtransactions until they get rid of the stupid points system. Microsoft has it on the Xbox360 and it's stupid, Nintendo had it (Thankfully they ditched it) and I think Sony always used dollars (Never owned a PS3) which is great.

Stop using stupid purchase system or make the prices more suitable for the point packs, so that you are much less likely to have errant points left over after a purchase :/

Alternatively (And not preferred) make it so that points left over from a transaction are always a multiple of 5.

you are all arguing around the (imo) wrong approach.

When I played CB and there were 2000 players at a time, I had like 1 desync in 2 hrs. Now I have 1 per 1 minute or so. Obviously they need a lot more server power bcs things used to work MUCH better than they do know, difference is in number of players.
Now, I am not saying servers would solve everything and that they are the only reason, but they are obviously needed (either replace current ones with more powerful ones or add more of them). I remember that I had this conversation with one of the devs and I was told that servers would cost too much, something in the lines of 50K$ per server (it might ba more or less, it was a year ago, I forgot) and allocated bandwidth. I was amazed with that figure and found it personally too high, but when I asked for server specs they would need, I didn't get an answer so I can't really say if someone is overcharging them or the price is realistic.
I do know that I sometimes end up in walls, unable to move, luckily mobs don't recognize me as a target while I am in a wall.

I can also confirm that, from my experience, this game has more desync issues than all games I played so far put together. For example, in EVE, in 200+ players battles, I had fps issues, but no desync issues.
I also don't think chance to hit should be removed. Reworked? Maybe. Removed? No.

Considering that GGG have already said multiple times that they are sequentially working on the whole desync issue...

The problem is you dont get anything for trying.
