[GUIDE] 1339 Fireball Shotgun/CI Sorc v1.0.0

has anyone tried an alpha's howl for this build?

Can anyone successfully using this build tell me what their Fireball damage and DPS are with self buffs?

I am currently running a fire sorc with Spell Totem / Incincerate as my main skill, and a 3L Fireball as my secondary DPS skill. My fireball 3L'd with LMP and Faster Casting does about 2k top end damage and 4500 DPS.

Just wondering if I should switch to this build, and if this build is viable with MF gear. Thanks.

Also, would my wand be sufficient as one of the wands for this spec? Seems like it owuld be, but has faster projectiles on wand rather than CC or ICS.

Hey ive been playing this build and im currently in cruel act three, been pretty easy crushing mobs and destroying bosses JUST like you said but im at the point where i need more ES, but that doesnt bother me the thing that bothers me is the CI, i understand that chaos goes through the ES but so does other things such as puncture and poison does it not? please help me understand this i am new but im a quick learner.

No puncture is Physical damage so it will burn down your ES (got bursted @act2 merciless, wasn't paying attention!) and poison, well is chaos damage so if you're CI you take nothing


This is going all according to the plan, i started this build after looting an Eye of chayula.

What I failed tho is that i can't manage to get a 5L with LMP Lifeleech PoC AND firepen, now i'm running without PoC and it's getting impossible during Act 3 merc, not critting often enough to get the build going.

Gonna go farm some consumables with my higher lvls, maybe buy a Torso too.

This build is a bitch tho when it comes to getting str/dex for gems.

Maybe you should state to let gems lvl 1 or low lvl so you don't get fucked because of str/dex requirements (since we take 0 dex/str nodes) until you got the items to back it up. Don't think there's really any downside to it

Like i got items i can't really change because they got high str/dex on it and i need them to run blood rage/lmp.


Other then that very good build, i should buy that Dragon fireball skin, looks WAYYY too badass to pass that

Shitty build .... shitty tree, shitty survivability (your ES dropping so fast in a 69 map with just skeletons lol), shitty gem choices (FP? lol), no vaal pact, using 2x void they way you did without + power charges is just bad (no shield = less survival and too much -spell from 2x void), and this build really enjoys reflect I bet. Oh yeah crit with crap crit multi lewl

I would definetly not recommend that build, played it (with some adjustments like getting crit multi and power charges) until I hit the mid 80s and up to 75 maps and then switched to my Scion and here's why:

1) Castspeed: it's soooooo slow. Which brings up two problems: killing the fun and.. OH MY GOD FB WON'T GO OFF WHAT'S HAPPENING oh I'm chilled -> dead.
2) dps/clearspeed: you can 3shot bosses. you onehit every whitemob. the problem is that you only hit the first row, so clearing large packs still takes forever.
3) cost: I put around 25ex in my items, had capped resistances, around 6k ES and fully buffed 7k dps. definetly not enough. this built might actually work if you put 100+ ex in it, but then again, why not use that amount of money to buy items for a highend spec thrower/flicker/wander and steamroll through 75+ maps with ease?

just to mention some pros:
reflect is still pretty easy when using arctic armor (once you get the mana regeneration, which is a bitch as well)
still pretty funny to facetank every boss and just own him with your shotgun :P

just don't even think about playing that build if you are not able to spend an extensive amount of currency, and even if that's no problem for you I'm pretty sure that there are way cheaper and way better builds out there.
