[GUIDE] 1339 Fireball Shotgun/CI Sorc v1.0.0

i love this build my only lacking item is the body armour but using 6link infernal mantle. over 4k es yes its low but still doable just gotta watch it more but other than that i love it plus the fire ball damage just got increased. so i have tested out instead of faster proj i tried gmp or increase crit gmp gave lower damage but 7 fireballs werent bad just also slower and the increase crit help with crits just lost speed. so im just sticking back to faster proj. so over all its a fun build and reflects dont really do much if you got armor skill running.

I don't get it. I followed this guide to a T exactly. My gear is exact or better more or less, my gems are almost all 20/20, I'm playing as I should be with blood rage. My tooltip dps is 16k, my es is close to 8 k, mana is close to 2k. I sustain mana no problem. The issue is the build seems broken? The only gem I am using differently is a 20/20 increased crit dmg gem vs fire pen because I haven't gotten the colors yet... I am dying like crazy. merci dominus kills me easily. Also died to a 69 map boss? I used to breeze through 77 and 78 maps with a freeze pulse build that had 6k es barely, ran out of mana, and only did about 10k dps total? Why Am I dying like this? Am I missing something? Can you guys examine this build and let me know what I'm missing? My gear is spot on, my skills match exactly, I chose the gloves over maligaros for the res and extra es, plus I'm doing way more dps that the op? I do not understand lol...

use fire pen or you wont kill fire res monsters also fire pen does more than just to penetrate. not exactly sure but seems to me you have a higher chance crit with fire pen on fire res monsters bc if the monsters dont take dmg then how can you crit? or could be wrong but fire pen is a must. and yes getting colors was a bitch i spent 200 chroms getting 2 of each color. but was def worth it. and with the new boost from the patch fireball does alot more now. so maps are great i just dont have the high enough es with the tri res to make it on dominous but other than that killing is ez

Yeah idk... was hoping the op could comment and let me know what I'm doing wrong? My current death rate is so high that I'm considering ditching this build and going discharge or something else. I'm very surprised as having 20/20 life leach and over7500 es I thought I'd survive a lot easier.

I'm not quite the expert yet but also running this build with a lot less gear and I don't really die that often running 70-72 maps. Now as for you obviously fire pen is nice but your gem choices on boots are what is making you die I would guess.Cast on dmg taken is best left at lvl 1 so it casts spells more often with enduring cry lvl 5.Increased aoe is standard and then 4th skill doesn't matter as much but discharge? It wastes all of your charges wich you need to do dmg and keep yourself alive so imo that's the main issue. Also you probably need higher lvl arctic armour vs reflect and just hordes of mobs to mitigate a lot more dmg.
I will try and adjust the cwdt and discharge gems. Also going to try for a 20/20 arctic armor. Ill post when I have the results, also if wnyone can comment in the mean time I'd appreciate it. Ty

So I changed my gems out. Running a 19/20 pcoc and 18/20 fire pen instead of the 20/20 increased crit dmg. I am now doing about 30k dps instead of 60k, but seem to be surviving alot better. I also ditched the 20 20 discharge and picked up a lvl 1 cwdt and planning on running firestorm or shock nova with it. The main problems seem to be temp chains maps now, and my res is still a lil under cap. Any feedback anyone?
the classic setup is:
cast when dmg taken - enduring cry - molten shell - decoy totem
i got my cwdt at level 10, for the level49 benchmark. the decoy totem dies fast. I never do.
Hi, I 'd like to ask if it is better/worse to grab the ev/es ring at the right of the tree near the ranger instead of the armour/es ring at the very left area, assuming you didn't need to pick it very early. I am leaning towards the ev/es ring because of the vital at the moment and probably in general for me +10 dex node inbetween, instead of the +10 int one right before the ar/es ring.

Pros of ev/es ring:

-one more +10 dex node (which is huge in my opinion)
-you actually have at least one evasion item so that you have some evasion to benefit from, namely Maligaro's gloves. You can only find armor on your belt.
-if you run a Jade Flask, it benefits from this ring of nodes (if I am not mistaken about how the mechanics of this work).
-potentially maybe save some more nodes from the left side of the tree.

Pros of ar/es ring:

-(you can get it earlier than the ar/es ring, but as I said I am assuming that you don't need to).
-your heavy belt can actually have 300ish armor, which slightly benefits from this ring of nodes.
-your Granite flask (but not sure about molten shell) benefits from it (again if I am not mistaken), but does it benefit substantially?

It all comes down to this: a better Granite flash + better armor from your belt vs a better Jade Flask + a hugely important +10 dex node (+some more evasion from Maligaro's gloves, which might be negligible). I am not at the point to be able to test this yet, but I think it is not negligible to really find the optimal choice here. Thoughts?

Ok, the armour ring is better because of the last node, I hadn't observed that, nvm my previous post... Getting dex is gonna be so hard...
