what ya think ? it suppose to be more softcore friendly. but didnt i cut too much of def nodes ?
also is the blood magic that needed ?
one more questions : which auras are essential for lightning arrow builds ?

P.S. it might not be the most gg ever, but i am damn proud of this b/c i crafted and farmed everything myself. No trading involved.

First up, massive kudos for crafting your own 6L. Have you ever crafted one before? I've had a couple, but never had the gonads to craft one myself. Well done!

As for the last link - a few options, some mentioned below.

- For MF'ing, clearly IIQ is the best option (or IIR if it has to be blue - but IIQ > IIR). With 5L you probably faceroll everything anyway, so the marginal killing speed of another dps gem < quantity gains from leveled IIQ gem,
- For DPS, + quality Culling Strike I really like - especially for boss killing - otherwise as mentioned above, quality Added Lighting Damage is always good (but expensive in terms of mana multiplier). If you can afford to craft a 6L, you can probably afford to buy a qual Lightning Dmg or Chaos Dmg gem too.

That 6L was my first yes. I found the armor with with sockets and just kept pumpin fusing into it as i got them in the hopes of a 5L. It took so so many, but im so happy with the result. I have never made it to endgame until just last night (cleared a3). In fact I only just started playing 2 days before open beta, so yeah, I am pretty jazzed about it :D

Anyway, I see you favor the IQ gem a little bit. Everyone seems to think that having my 5L should decimate everything. Don't get me wrong, even elites die very quickly in a solo game. But what kind of DPS should the shock/tank build be pushing at lvl 80? Currently im 70 and without the 6th socket being a dps one, im only pushing about 1900 dps with LA. Roughly
270-1050 per hit. While my gear isnt spectacular, I think it is pretty good given the fact of how new I am to this game, but I have yet to do any real endgame. Is this really enough damage to start thinking about putting anything other than a dps gem into my 6th?

Edit: I just thought of another enigma maybe you or the good ppl here can answer. If my level
17 LMP gem says 32 percent increased proj dmg, 30 percent less proj dmg, why does my dps go
down by a few hundred when I equip it?

Edit 2:I don't know the loot very well just yet. I was also wondering what your opinion is of my bow? Now that I FINALLY have my 6L, should i try to 5L this bow? So far I have not found anything even close, but like I said above, I do not like to trade much. I prefer to find/craft my gear or trade with friends. Anyway, here is the bow. Wow, 1900 DPS sounds insane to me, but of course I am only level 55. My DPS with LA is about 900 right now and I thought that was great. I did JUST get my Wrath gem though so it is currently only level 7 while Anger is at 14. I just can't see getting to 1900 DPS! Does my weapon need to be severely upgraded for that? Currently rocking

Just beat the game (level 62) and hit 2500 DPS elemental hit with only 3 links and all auras. My DPS doubled when I got this bow (yes, it has really bad sockets). Only at 1000 DPS with Lightning Arrow + LMP + faster attacks.

What are your thoughts on 5L lightning arrow?

LA + WED + LGOH + LMP are given for me, the question comes with the 5th gem. The choice is between Faster Attacks and Chain. Now it's a given that Chain's impact dps will be lower on char screen, but the question is if the additional splash in large groups will make up for the dps loss you would have gained with Faster Attacks.

It stands between 1221.7 dps with Chain and 2960 dps with Faster Attacks. Both gems has their uses but...bleh can't decide.

So i have been scouring the forums for about a week now, and think your builds are definitely the most helpful. My question to you is this (or anyone who can aswer) : how much less tanky is the first super high dps build compared to the second tanky dps build? I already have a super tanky righteous fire marauder (4.3k life) and while i do decent damage and its fun, i want to feel powerful! I wanna wipe mobs off of the face of the earth, and do it fast. I typically run in a group, and have been doing maps with my marauder so obviously that is what i wanna have this guy ready for end game. I researched the differences between physical and ele bow builds and have decided ele is the way i wanna go.

What would be my ideal skill choices be?

Lightning Arrow of course, but what other skills should i use?

Whats the most efficient single target skill, obviously LA for mobs, should i use poison arrow for bosses? Then the rest auras and buffs? I didnt see much on here regarding that, and would like a point in the right direction. Also I have the orbs to buy a 6l and top gear no problem, so what support gems would be best to go with these if i had 5-6l item where possible? Also are any skills not worth buying quality on, and which ones are a must?

Couple pages back, someone posted the differences in the builds, very easily read.

Lightning Arrow for AOE, Elemental Hit or Frenzy for single target, he put that on the original post. He also pointed out what auras to use, nothing that reserves % HP.

Lightning Arrow > Life Gain on Hit/Life Leech > Weapon Elemental Damage > Lesser Multiple Projectiles > Faster Attacks > Culling Strike or added lightning/chaos damage

Elemental Hit you probably don't need life leech/gain on hit with because you should have a couple of items with base % life leech and the % life regen passives to make it so you only lose a little bit of HP.
