Petrov's Elemental Bow Ranger Build(s) (0.10)

I started my build heading straight to Iron Grip and am now realizing that my mana pool is awful, 3-4 lightning arrows and I'm completely out of mana. Should I respec and head to blood magic first?

Rain of Arrows wouldn't benefit from all those elemental passive nodes and I don't think you can get the same synergies with multiple projectile/piercing mods. Fire into a crowd with LA or Ice Shot and every target hit by an arrow will drop AE damage on nearby targets, if the shot pierces it'll happen again, if the arrows hit a wall the explosions will hit nearby targets. Rain of Arrows just drops a flat AE, it's ok for AE when you get it but I don't think it's something you can build a spec around

How useful is resolute technique? Do monsters have high evasion later on?
Given how you also get accuracy from dex, if you grabbed a couple of accuraccy nodes instead would you still miss a lot, that the extra dmg and status ailments from crits would not make up for the lost dps from missing a hit?
Would like a 10%-15% chance to crit make up for the missed shots or you miss way more than that?

I think part of the argument is that it lets you take strength nodes instead of dex nodes. The +life from strength nodes really adds up and with resolute technique you're not really missing those +dex nodes. If you're following this build you're hardly getting any %armor or %evade passives so heavy investment in dex nodes doesn't do a lot for you

Also, bows have very low base crit, even getting to 10-15% would take a lot of work I think. And also, with life leech you're really depending on your damage to help keep you alive, misses can be bad news

What about getting blood drinker in the elemental dps build? is it not worth it?

I was just going through the current tank-dps build (which i'm aiming for) but i notice you go 'far up the tree' towards shock

Which i wonder is it worth the nodes leading up there?

Since Celestial walker is like. 3 nodes away from celestial - i'm considering going for it closer towards the end of my points. (and maybe another branch of elemental nodes)

Actually looking at this i think i could do this & make it turn out right. still considering it though.

Quick question, I've read the op and few other comments (only few, don't have time to read all 40 of em), and have yet found an answer for my burning question. Have there been mentions about using Greater Multiple Projectiles gem instead of using the lesser one? Asking this cause had bit of an luck and found Greater one with quality +13, so wondering should I use it my self or sell it?

What should I get on my flasks? I had the crit = 1 charge on my old ones but since I cant crit in the tanky spec what should I go for on the 2 health, 2 granite and 1 quicksilver im going to run?
