[1.0.1] Double Point Blank - RoA Dual Totem build. Updated!

I followed your LA Duelist guide, and I'm thinking of switching over to this one. I'm wondering how the two compare.

Which is faster while stacking IIQ/IIR? Which has the advantage in AoE damage vs. single target?

Great guides btw, thanks for all the help.

*Edit*

I shelled out for the two uniques and respecced a little bit. This build is really really powerful so far, fun too. Thanks.

I also play a RoA Dual Totem Build as Ranger (87). It's pretty much the same build and I switched to Dual Totems because I always killed my self on reflect (even with 3 granites up, lol).

I have around 28k RoA DPS (Crit = dead on reflect) without Ancestral Bond (Dual Totems).

Each of my Totems has 14k DPS which is quite good imho but I don't use Chin Sol. I'm using Lioneye's Glare & Kaom's Heart.

So it is a very nice build, but to bad that I first saw the build when I already respecced. Would have saved me some planning time.

The reason i'm leveling(re leveling now.. sigh) RoA totem is because it is really safe in maps and you can do almost any mod (any if careful and right gear.) As for running IIQ/IIR with it, yes, it can be done pretty easily. I would say easier then LA, because you run frenzy, GMP to get charges - if you add culling strike and the IIQ/IIR gems you are pretty set. I will be testing out the crit build, so I will be running powercharge on crit.

Yeah, it is really strong - with right gear and passive you will 1-2 shot normals and magics. It tears through bosses as well once projectile weakness is applied.

Glad you enjoy it - stay safe!

Pretty similar to what I will be running, in my crit ranger version (tree in the OP) except you are using Lioneye's. You should try Chin Sol, not only is it amazing DPS boost, but the knock back really helps survivability of your totems and even yourself (if you're using a GMP frenzy or some other spam ability.) I have accuracy nodes in place of your heavy-draw cluster.

I'm glad you're doing well at that level - I hit level 80 before biting the dust to the rare/unique boss bug back a month or so ago. Hopefully i'll be up and running maps soon :)

Thanks for your info!

The survivability of my totems is overall pretty good because most stuff dies with 2-3 Shots because the DMG output is just crazy with 2 totems up (Lunaris Piety takes 4-5 Seconds when cursed with Proj Weakness or Crit Weakness). The only things that can get annoying are the Titty Bitches and Piety's Thunderstorm but the Titty Bitches Problem can be easily solved by placing the totems behind them.

To Chin-Sol I can only say that I never liked it, but at least I tried it with a 6L Chin-Sol and I didn't felt a "big" advantage compared to Lioneye's Glare.

But I'm glad that there are more people playing RoA Dual Totem, good to see people that don't play Spark when it comes to Dual Totem Builds.

If you are running a dual totem RoA build, I'd love to see a video of it, it's the one thing I really wish were on the original build.

I'm currently leveling a character to get there, but I'd like to see it in action.

Mathatically, Chin Sol should do quite a bit more damage then Lioneye's, plus the fact that it is about 4x cheaper to buy makes it a much more appealing option for this build.

For me Chin Sol was worse because of the super-low attack speed. If your totems attack slow & you have low damage than Chin Sol probably is the better choice because of the Knockback but my damage is very good so my totems mostly kill stuff before they get killed.

That Chin Sol is cheaper is correct but luckly I can afford "expensive" gear so I stick with Lioneye's Glare till a Thicke Bow pops up that appeals me.

I also recorded a quick Mountain Ledge Map because Pallas asked for a short view of how strong the build is. I don't have any High Level Maps atm because I am not really playing and I made this run without Kaom's Heart to show that this can work, even with low HP.

Ahh, didn't know you were standard league. Your life is really low.

It doesn't really matter how it 'feels' dps wise, the numbers will always prove to be right. 100% "more" damage is multiplicative, which means that it multiplies the damage instead of just adding it.

So, even by losing .3-.4 attak speed, and about a total of 50 DPS, you are still gaining a lot of DPS. Combining it with point blank keystone, giving you 200% "more" damage while in close range.

Now im not a math wiz or anything, but I am almost positive that 100% more damage > .4 atkspeed+50DPS - the only reason im really considering going with Lioneyes is merely the fact that I would gain 3-5 passive skills. If i was not going crit build I would not evne consider it.

Working my way up this build, I finally have a totem and am working toward the blood magic keystone. Wish I had more time to play, but it's been fun so far. My totem ate Merveil for breakfast and I just hid around the corner recasting.
