[1.0.1] Double Point Blank - RoA Dual Totem build. Updated!

Projectile speed has nothing to do with firing speed. It just makes the arrows hit the ground faster. Has zero affect on DPS.

I know it doesn't affect tooltip dps, but it increases clearspeed i think, especially when your totems have hard time staying alive (of course this is my assumption, i tried dual ROA totem some time ago, but not in end-game.

I just don't see the point in going that deep into ranger. A lot of points are wasted. I would much rather have 15ias 1.5 regent and 24% life then some projectile speed, physical DMG and stun resist.

In your first version of crit build to get to berserking and golem's blood you spend 6 nodes into 10dex/str. Mine version had 2 10 dex nodes and 2 15% block/stun recovery. So less "wasted" nodes.

U losing 3% attackspeed, 0.5% regen, 12% resists, 10 str.

You gaining 10 dex, 4% accuracy, 20% projectile speed, 15% projectile dmg, 32% physical dmg with bows, 4% hp, +10 hp, 4% movement speed, 30% block/stun recovery, 30% chance to avoid stun.

If u manage to cap your resists, I think my wersion was better. And if u like "pressure points" u can go further, drop Heartseeker and little bit hp for more attackspeed, critchance, and evasion. 106 points

When you get all your passives, gear, and setup for doing maps you 1-2 shot everything except for bosses. Clear speed isn't an issue.

My point is, if projectile speed was really good for RoA, why don't people use faster projectiles support gem? It not only gives projectile speed but also attack speed (and both from quality.)

I'm not denying that the ranger area is great and is a better choice then going south of duelist for berserking and golem's blood - but, I just do not like some nodes up there and would rather just avoid them.

Though I do really like the version that you just posted. It's probably the one that is most optimal honestly. Here's the little change I would make for level 90, 108 points.

My biggest question ... is 40% increased accuracy rating enough? 225 dex + 40% increased accuracy might not be enough to hit around 95%+ which is where you want to be really. May have to drop a few health nodes to get that 3 cluster of accuracy, or get some accuracy gear.

Anyone with crit based builds have any experience at what the right amount of accuracy is?

I am glad u like my advice. I am not saying that proj. speed is mandatory, but it is nice bonus for RoA in addition to 15% proj. dmg and accuracy.

I can't answer you about how much accuracy is sufficient, but u have 60% (u forgot about 20% with bows before Master Fletcher)

And I want to ask you have u considered dropping IR and going evasion with Ondar's Guile? And also what about more frenzy charges (prolly not from tree, but from bandit quest). 5% attackspeed/castsspeed improves dps and totem casting time.

I am thinking about dual ROA totem (also with chin sol) but low-life, utilising Shavronne's wrappings and bloodrage for frenzy charges and massive bonus to attackspeed.

Low life, shavronns will only work if you can sustain the totem spam. As i said in my OP, you need to spam your totems, and thus why I have chosen to go with life/blood magic setup, so that 2 totems are always up for maximum DPS. Since this build is based around point blank bow/passive, you are required to stack the totem right ontop of the mobs, thus causing them to die a lot more then other totem builds. It's really hard to sustain a mana pool for that.

Evasion is still garbage, and this wont change until they rework it. As it stands now, every mob totally ignores evasion for the first hit(they get a random chance to hit, or miss, but it is not modified by evasion at all, total RNG), which causes people to get instant gibbed by packs of heavy hitters. Until this changes, evasion based builds that have little to no armor are not viable.

I'd really love to see some video of this in action, I hate that the OP died and never got to make any.

Currently leveling a ranger crit build so I may be able to post one in a few weeks.

That would be awesome, I just bought a Chin Sol and have my eye out for a Carcass Jack.

I got really lucky with only couple fusings, my first 6L. Too bad it wasn't shavronne's chest :/

Very nice, the one I picked up is a 5L and I'm too afraid to touch it (I'm poor and can't afford eternals or anything to keep it rolling)
