It actually did much better than I thought!
Notable differences:
The dex build has significantly higher base Accuracy: 784 vs 364
The dex build although with a slightly higher %life, still loses out on overall life due to a lack of base life.
The str build will end up with higher mana from higher int as well as the %incr. max ES
The dex build will have 6 frenzy charges vs 3 from the str.
The str build will have 4 endurance charges vs 3 from the dex.
The dex build will end up with higher effective armour
The str build will possibly have better defence versus enemy crits.
The bolded areas were areas which were particularly attractive
However, at the end of the day I still believe that the str build is more suitable for the gameplay that my build requires. The Str will have a higher DPS due to the higher elemental damage plus the fact that I will run Haste instead of Grace, which I would be forced to run if I headed IR.
Other Reasons:
The Str build has higher %accuracy, allowing it to make up for the loss of base accuracy with items that have higher +accuracy
Frenzy charges won't matter much because I'm constantly spamming flicker to consume them. The attack speed difference between 4 frenzy and 6 frenzy is easily made up for by haste, plus higher DPS = 1 hit KO = Flicker cooldown reset.
Although having higher armour and higher DR as a result is attractive, I think my gameplay is more of a hit and run, kill fast, offense is the best defense life leech kind of build.
Attached is the comparison between the two. Dex on right, Str on left.
Wow that is a really cool program your using; what is it?
Another thing is 110 point build is great for you, but the average person like me has only the 84 points (I haven't confirmed that number a friend told me)you get in OB pre-maps. I can't hit the key points from the the three trees with less then 95ish points in your build. You use 10 points just navigating over there.

Don't take this the wrong way, but this isn't wow. Its challenging and not everyone is going to make it to max level. For if you plan on making guides. It should be tailored to people like me. Who aren't as good and need the help. Keep up the good work though I really like how well your break down the technicalities for people and your devotion to helping people.

It's the offline passive tree calculator. I believe its in beta general discussion forum section.
Don't worry I won't take you the wrong way. You've been polite and have raised valid points! How can I? :P
Actually, it will probably be easier to reach higher levels now as compared to before as well as get more skill points now as compared to before.
However, I do agree that this build probably takes quite a while to complete. Hmm, how about this version of it for you?
96 Points
Not that much survivability has been given up, and hardly any DPS is given up either. After you reach this, you can progress onwards! This will just act as a landmark for you just in case :) of course, if you want to go the dex path feel free to! I'm not such a tyrant :p

great build sir! I've been watching this thread for a little bit now and I am definately going to as close to this build as I can for my first character.
From the sounds of everything so far.. the str build sounds a little stronger so I will probably play that over the dex build. looks great! keep us up to date with any changes ;)

So I been playing with the program you pointed out and you have well over 200 strength which is about 40%+ increase in melee physical damage, a modifier not applied to project tiles from lighting strike. So why are you not spending the 4 points to get iron grip?

Good info, thanks Invalesco. I'll be referring to this, as well as a few other threads on the forum when I start to learn more about the game. (Had a buddy drag me into this about a day ago, lol)

Invalesco, how do u think the open beta changes are going to affect this ES reliant build?
They are nerfing Chaos inoculation to NOT give any ES anymore.. that's a 50% ES loss.
Any thoughts?

Plenty of thoughts. My conclusion is that this build will still be viable, although not so much in HC earlier on. However, it will also be much harder than it already is. I will however attempt to make things simpler by giving you guys more specific instructions on when to respec into CI. Stay tuned for updates!
