[1.0.6] CI Crit Dagger Shadow (30k DPS Flicker Ninja) [OB video up!]
" If you're going Spectral Throw I'd consider a few minor changes to the skill tree. Grab a few of the increased projectile damage nodes. Otherwise, Spectral Throw might be too weak. On my level 77 shadow I noticed that with my current skill tree, Spectral Throw was less effective than Lightning Strike. Since we are using daggers, ST has less range and hits far less enemies than LS does. I love ST with a big two-handed weapon. But so far, I don't like it much with a tiny dagger. I'll have to play around with it more. Also, don't forget how important accuracy is with ST. Anyways what does everyone think about this build with Spectral Throw: IGN: DrunkBarbarian / SupernalScion

I'm currently at level 62 with my dagger dude.. just went CI a few levels ago with discipline aura i have 3.7k ES and thats without full ES gear. I started using spectral throw instead of LS because it was safer although i guess it would work now but ST is working pretty decently for the big aoe clear (I know its not that big).
My main problems ATM are: -Pretty low dps. -Getting chilled and frozen. -Cant run more than 1 aura. -Low dps (which in turn means low leech) What should I do? Using ST for aoe. DS for single target (which is hard for me at times without leech i have run back and ST while recharging shield) Blood Rage.. Flicker Strike (happens to be my highest DPS skill by far but it seems to miss alot) Any and all advice would be much appreciated. | |

" you should NEVER go after tree when leveling, you have to get the life on the tree, but yes if you are missing STR you should go for one of thoes big 30+ str nodes plus use a heavy belt, that is the reason heavy belt exist, 30str is 6% more physical dmg so getting str nodes doesnt hurt and dont overlevel your gems either when you know you cant sustain them signature?
|
|
" - get a better dagger - get dream fragment - get mana reduction nodes - read first point (a 200top end dagger should solve the problem signature?
|
|
Also should I be dual wielding at this point or start looking for a good shield? Also should my gear be all ES?

|
" get some of these ive played this build for a long time without dream frags and my guy is at 80. i had the same problem you did and was a bit disillusioned but it only gets better the more passive points and gear you get. a good physical dagger is very important. you absolutely need to get leveled reduced mana on your auras to run them without trouble. |

I would appreciate some tips guys, I just respec into CI as I hit lvl 64, I have 2.5k ES overall ( pretty poor ES gear ), but i'm getting absolutely destroyed by all the mobs .. It's really frustrating.

2.5K ES after CI is probably not enough... What auras do you run? I used to run hatred + discipline, but I recently swapped discipline for grace and I found I'm surviving better all the trash and blue mob... Always granite if you can't kill a pack quickly before they get to hit you.
Which brings to your DPS: if you kill things fast enough, you'll take less damage. I bring a diamond flask for when I'm against high damaging blue mob (like the void bearers in docks or the machine gunners in lunaris), so that I can take them down fast. If you need some more survivability, you can use enfeeble and a low level arctic armor (at around lv 7 you are almost immune to voidbearers in docks for example, and if you stay still you should be able to sustain it, just activate/deactivate when you need it). Against magic damage, you'll want capped elemental resist, and you may want an eye of chayula and a dream fragment/alpha howl for stun and freeze immunity (really dangerous as CI) On the other hand, I have a question: at the moment I only have a 4L for my lightning strike, and I have linked LMP-power charge on crit-item rarity (for farming). I have 3k DPS on tooltip with hatred, which increase with power charges (6 maximum). What DPS should I aim for on lightning strike? IGN: Nanaya_Kiri

Has anyone tried this build extensively in PvP? Just curious how it fares against physical opponents. Lack of any armor + being in melee range seems scary. Sure, you have granite flasks but that still doesn't make up for no armor at all and eventually you will run out.
Just curious if anyone has tried it in a lot of FT5 matches and what kind of results were had. IGN Nellz
