I'm new and in-love with this game right now. anyway, i have my sights set on doing this build. it seemed fun to roll with this character. But i have a question if you don't mind. Is this an ideal build for a new player, or do i have to build a different character and farm with it first before doing this build? thanks.

I would recommend a pure ES Chest, as you can get much higher ES than with a hybrid, but tbh the gear you listed should be completely fine in maps. Decent ES, resists, and DPS.

Since you don't have Dream Fragments make sure to always carry at least one Flask of Heat.

Anyone know how this compares to the armor/hp version of the build?

I really dislike CI's inability to use potions to restore life =/

hi im looking for a new dagger to boost my dps

could someone explain me how to calculate the dps on weapons, im really confused about this.
is elemental dmg useful or unnecessary?
whats more important physical dmg, crit or attack speed?

this is the one im using now

i know the crit is to low,

this is my old dagger (still for sale if anyone is interested)

crit and speed are nice but physical dmg is really low

the new one only gives me 600 more dps on DS, but the physical dmg is much higher
what stats should i have at least to get a big dps boost?

Elemental damage is helpful to add to your final DPS, but it's not a huge priority because the amount you leech is dependant only on your physical damage.

To calculate weapon DPS add all the number together for example in the second dagger 23+196+16+38=273. Then divide by two 273/2=136.5 and finally multiply by the attack speed of the dagger 136.5 x 1.75-238.9.

To calculate physical DPS do the same thing but only add the physical numbers and so on for elemental DPS.

Crit is important also but I'm not completely sure how to factor crit into calculating the DPS of the dagger. Personally I like a little lightning/cold damage on dagger if possible for the extra chance to shock/freeze on crits.
