3 auras is what most people use, that only takes 1 reduced mana and can be used in your helm, which if your lucky is Alpha Howl. Otherwise any ES/EV helm is good. You don't need 4 auras.

Ah ok, that makes sense. So obviously we run Discipline as one of our three, now for end-game mapping what are the best other two to run?

I'm guessing some combination of Wrath, Hatred, and Haste; I personally run Discipline, Haste, and Hatred, because I feel the IAS and Movespeed from Haste is just gravy, along with Hatred scaling better DPS-wise than Wrath for me at least.

What are everyone else's opinions on this?

pretty much spot on ;P

I run 4 auras. If your mana pool can support it there's no reason not to. Once you reach late game the only spells you will be using are the 3 combat spells (flicker/ds/ls), whirling blades, warlords mark, blood rage. You should have the socket space to get 4 auras all linked with reduced mana (and you can probably put Warlord's Mark with the reduced mana too and then level it up a bit).

This leaves me with about 120 mana by the way, which is enough.

Doubtful your party will let you run Warlord's as the hex of choice, most 6 man mapping groups are gonna go with Elemental Weakness, Projectile Weakness, or Vulnerability.

You can run four auras, but if you have an organized group you're more often not gonna need to do so, as between 6 people you can easily get every aura and have an extra copy of several along the way. But yeah, you could have that socket space available, just a matter of what your group can accommodate.

I mean of course. But the idea is to make yourself the strongest you can without relying on party (hence mark/4 auras). If you run with groups you can tinker which auras/amount of auras, maybe run skeleton totem instead of something etc.

I am a seasoned veteran of this build, doing close to 20k Double Strikes and my method has been working for me. And I make sure to let party know that in reflect maps they need to let me warlord's mark large packs and bosses. Was just offering input to people who are debating 3 or 4 auras - As long as mana pool is over 100ish, you should have no problem running 4 - whether you need to based on party comp is a different story.

I'm following this build and now I'm stuck at cruel act 3. Level 51 with total 109 deaths and just act 3 alone I died for at least 50 times, FML

Any pros here can give me some guidance? Its hard for me to survive, spell totem + summon skeleton won't do the trick in my case, I don't know why tho.

Thanks

as inva has said in the op, the difficulty is getting to merciless act 2, after you have saved up farming ledge and fellshire, it will slowly smooth out

as for your problem, get into some parties, i had to get through this part too, even when i made it to merciless, i found myself back at docks farming/lvling for gear and passives
Anyone? I sell it for 2 gcp

Are you making sure to level you Summon Skeletons so their Max HP scales up? If so, try linking your Skele-brotem to either Faster Casting or Minion HP depending on what your mana can support.

Faster Casting both lets you recast the totem faster and lets the totem itself recast skeles faster, so it's a big help. Minion HP does what it sounds like; gives your skeles more HP.

When I was in a rough spot in the same place, Cruel Act 3, Faster Casting was the single biggest factor in me living against mobs like Kole and that bitch, Piety.

Also, what are you dying to exactly, elemental damage or physical hits? I find concerning elemental damage once you have full 75% resists you are basically invincible against elemental damage until Merc. For physical damage, granites. And if you already have a couple, either roll or buy another one with the Iron Skin affix. Adds a ton more armor and makes you way tankier.

All else fails, join a pub party and get carried :D

That sounds about where I was back then. You need to have patience, and determination. These will guide you through. If you're determined to solo, you're gonna die a lot. You can force yourself through zones by killing slowly and eventually getting to whatever way point you were after.

If you're patient, you'll find yourself at the docks where you can begin to level up again on the easier mobs there, but be careful of the voidbearers!

No but really, as others stated you could just party and have them carry you some of the way. I wasn't as fortunate back then to have many friends to work with, and was situation-ally very laggy from the old lightning arrow spam that was abundant with minion masters in every party.
