I'll do a quick demo in the Piety kill vid I'm gonna make tonight for someone else.

I thought they removed the ability to cast blood magic auras from an item and then remove the item this patch. This was driving my nuts how you were casting it from blood magic gem.

They have stated on Reddit that they plan to change how that works. For now it still functions as always.

Updated guide with a level 75 Piety kill.

I don't typically farm Piety because maps are quicker, but this run happened to work out for me well with a pair of Wondertraps during the run and a unique map at Piety.

I'm not sure you need all the shield passives or as much crit. spark crit has been reduced to 4% native from 6%. So, you can save. In these builds the total crit is around 195 your build it's around 235. That's taking total crit chance from about 13.5% to 11.5%. Well worth the sacrifice.
The throatseeker is nice as it does very much improve the damage done on that nearly 1 in 10 chance to crit but I sacrificed that for increasing the damage for every spark which makes a smaller multiplier work off a stronger base and I believe (though I haven't done that math) makes it acceptable to drop.

2 build suggestions for review based entirely on trolls blood.
notice: Both have nullification

1 without troll's blood but greatly increases the ES passives to make up for that. Especially if using RotF shield you'll be fine.


With Trolls Blood sacrificing those extra ES nodes for TB and EA


Until you reach the high ES (this goes for any build) springleaf is advisable. It'll require less ES to out regen the righteous fire.

Do you actually run either of those builds? I just don't see how you can get rid of 20% - 32% resist all and still reach Fire cap for RF without being completely crippled. If you are running the above builds, can you post a pic of your defensive stats, DPS, and IIR/IIQ?

No, my witch is not there yet to test either out. This is theory craft so far. I haven't chosen the final build yet. Criticism and thoughts are welcomed.

If you use rise of the phoenix it gives tons of fire resist you won't need from passives. Else gear.

Keep in mind you gain 8 from nullification and if you go near IF there is a 6 to all and 15 to fire right there. You can in any of these drop some damage or ES or other to gain those shield resists. You could take away the 4 going to static blows for that. Then you'll only be 4 less than the OP build but with more overall damage to every spark from going down that shadow tree.

Also, I'm not sure which is more powerful. The 9% cast speed in shadow or the 15% elemental damage there.

9% cast sped is almost 2x the dps of 15 spell damage.

If you run RF you need to be running Inner Force in an end game build. Also, dont aim to use Rise of the Phoenix or Springleaf. They are fine for transitioning but not end game. They will greatly hinder your dps and are crutches more than anything.

If cast speed is that much better and if you really want IF (still need to rerun the math on that) then this is an idea to possibly aim for

it's -20 spell damage, - static blows, +diamond skin and +1 net cast speed from previous build with Inner Force as well.


where you can decide on :
mental acuity, the lightening damage prior to it, diamond skin
---------------or-----------------
static blows

(mental acuity could also be subsituted for ES/Evasion node near nimbleness)

So you went down the Marauder tree for troll's blood Or did you head left and get troll's blood later? Just hit 50 and have your exact build for that level. Wondering how I should progress.

Start snagging all the energy shield nodes. Get yourself a 400 es chest and armor scrap it. Same for a 100es helm. You should be able to perma righteous fire round level 60. Then beat merc and get to pain attunement on the right side of tree and the 12% es node. Everything after that is just to increase your DPS. Start stacking iiq/iir and farm docks from 60 to 72. You'll get way more loot solo but may need groups till 70+. From there you can progress to maps if you have a shave.
