Awesome features, I have some concerns regarding the Eternal Orb though:
- do you guys realize that, with sufficient funds, you will now be able to craft perfect items?
- because of this fact I think that the only effect this will have is that the rich get richer.
I am concerned about that too. Eternal Orb will mostly be used to imprint items with 3-4 super stats and then exalt\imprint over and over until the item is perfect.
As a result of these changes, characters rely less on life than they did previously. Defensive options such as armour are substantially stronger now, more than offsetting the lower life totals.
FUCK.
YES.
This alone makes the patch groundbreaking for PoE.
Sounds nice. I'll definitely play in both the new leagues. Challenges are interesting enough to try to achieve some of them.
I hope that rebalance will indeed make character builds less "HP nodes run", with more focus on offense & defense. I'll definitely try Acrobatics this time around.
Now the hardest part: waiting till June 8th... :)
When night falls
She cloaks the world
In impenetrable darkness
Chris, some time ago you (or someone else) said that in future damage rebalance, you would be applying the long-requested change of Physical Damage scaling like Elemental Damage does (so flat Physical Damage from gear such as Iron Rings get increased by Physical Damage nodes and gear).
Is this coming with the patch? Or is it still in the works?
It is important for the Pillar of the Caged God build I've always wanted to make so I'd appreciate a response.
Thanks!
This.
Pillar has such great potential if physical damage scaling worked like elemental. I am eagerly waiting to make a viable build around it.
Don't like the Eternal Orb at all. Even at the highest rarity tier, it devalues the effort or awe in finding things like this:
Sure I can now GG a 27% IAS on the axe but that doesn't mean I'm happy about it. Finding the rarest and best rares was meant to be a long term and expensive goal. This just makes the whole process easier.
P.S: It doesn't help newbies one bit because they can't afford to exalt-eternal. So who is this system for? Bricking a potentially gg item is a risk we have to take and one we accept.
It helps newbies because items which are "godly" now but not "eternal orb"-"godly" will fall in price, which leads to other "good" items falling in price as well. Like how 5-linked armors falled in price massively.
As for your " Finding the rarest and best rares was meant to be a long term and expensive goal": that is far more true now than it was before. Before it was a lot a matter of RNG and gambling, now it is a goal you can methodically build towards step by step.
I love it, I'm gonna stay casual so mostly looking at the rebalance and the respect and the new orb yay =)
If you die in Anarchy league you go to Standard so imo casuals might as well play in that league because there is no downside and you get to see a cool mechanic and get new uniques and base items.
