@GGG: So with monster damage being reduced by a fair margin, will Raise Spectre, Dominating Blow, and/or Conversion Trap receive any sort of compensation?

If minion life is being lowered due to reduced monster damage, will there be any compensation to Minion Instability?

The nerf to the damage of freezing pulse worries me, because the damage on freezing pulse was never a problem, never why the skill is strong. The only thing that makes FP good is how, when used with greater or lesser multiple projectiles, due to the shape of the spell projectiles you are easily able to hit one target with ALL of the projectiles, and if you combine this with added lightning damage and chance to shock on hit, that would give you 5 rolls at applying a shock stack on an enemy per cast.

The problem with just reducing the damage of the spell means you've destroyed any use the spell has without GMP or LMP, and reduced it's effectiveness as a crowd control spell. You've essentially nerfed the wrong thing and instead of discouraging people from using multi FP shock stack, you've made it the only viable way to play with FP.


Similarly, the nerf to shock duration on Static Blows seems like it was designed to affect that FP setup, and will do a reasonable amount to making double spork totem builds less effective, BUT IT'S GOING TO HURT ANY OTHER BUILD THAT USES LIGHTNING SKILLS A HELL OF LOT MORE BECAUSE THEY CANNOT FLOOD AREAS WITH LIGHTNING LIKE SPORK DOES. Sorry for caps but I really needed to emphasize that.

It just seems like you're trying to nerf certain ways that people use skills that are incredibly effective and "easy mode", and hamfisting it so hard that you're damaging any and all builds that might ever want to use those elements or those skills in any way. Please be more careful where you aim that nerf hammer guys.



Anyway, u where wrong in just one thing, static blows is good for sporkers, but only at low lvl/no gear, a well geared sporker doesn't need that "point wasted" because of large mount of crits

@suposed patch notes: what im really afraid off is that nerf on granites, is by 1/4 of the total ammount (reduced to 3k from 4k armor) unless they really buff ALOT the armor nodes, every ES build is in danger, because in other hand i doubt that they will nerf the monsters dmg for the same 1/4

Global nerfs to everything but i guess the biggest question remains : what % of monster dmg being reduced by?

This looks very VERY very amazing, congrats for all the devs and any1 who took part in this. I finally found a game that is worth to diablo 2 and will spend countless time playing. Recreated something i thought long gone, best gameplay evar!
only the desync is to be fixed now, and its gonna be the perfect ARPG ive always wanted to play

Kaoms will still be the highest life bonus there is in game.
Any flat life bonus is going to be worth more than before imo.


Of course this patch will not do anything "to the rarity of Kaom's" but to it's value.
If monsters do less dmg you don't need a really big life pool to survive burst dmg.
Why would anyone who is in no need of a very high lifepool drop 5 or 6 linked gems plus tons of armor and good stats for more life he does not need? That would be plain stupid.
This patch turns Kaom's into a pile of steaming horsecrap!

that doesnt change the interest of Kaom... Yes, with the nerf of hp nodes, Kaom will bring less hp... But this is also true for other piece of stuff... At the end, base hp value become even more critical, so Kaom remain interesting.
