Path of Exile 0.11.0

Great patch. I'm glad some skills/passives are getting nerfed. They were unbalanced beyond repair.

If the Alpha notes that were posted are true they are literally denying you to play any self cast CI build. I really hope they were outdated as you stated, else that would be the most pathetic and most horrible balance patch I have ever seen.

As long as the reduction to ES nodes is close to the reduction in life nodes then there is no problem. Remember that you also get ES % from int, where as strength is base life. Therefore, ES nodes will probably have to be lowered slightly more than life nodes to keep things equal.

they've already said that the notes were outdated and wrong
Holy crap, more than I expected, really interested to see how melee and armour feels now.

Just out of curiosity, are there going to be any type of rewards for completing less than 8 challenges? Like races, where if you get enough points, you get a unique, etc..

I'd really like to work towards the challenges as hard as possible, but collecting a specific set of 90 uniques + use each map type in BOTH onslaught and anarchy is just insane. Sadly, with the time I have to play I can't really compete for all 8 in both leagues.

Thus, I'm hoping there will be rewards for completing less than 8 challenges. Maybe small prizes for completing 4, 5, 6, or 7 too. (Not a tshirt, that'd be crazy, just an in game item)

C'mon GGG, give me something I can work towards here.

Sounds great! But only T-shirts to people who complete all the challenges in both ladders? I certainly hope the supporter packs are still going to have t-shirts....

Yep, the t-shirts for the challenges are very, very hard to get. The ones in the supporter packs are different and thankfully a little easier to obtain ;)

We're expecting to post the supporter pack announcement on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Told my wife about this, and she thinks the shirts should say:

I played PoE for 4 months, and all I got was this stinking tshirt..

LOL!! Just a little humor to hopefully brighten everyones day. :-)
This is all fantastic, the GGG devs truly are amazing people.
Love the updates to the game thanks.

Monster Damage Reduced (How?): Let us say -10% all round
Life & Energy Shield Nodes Reduced (is that all nodes in tree?): Let us say -1% each node
Armor Increase (How Much? / Is it Nodes & Base Item?): Let us say +1% each.

Now if you have 10 life nodes / 10 ES nodes in build, that is -10% to both, now that balances out to Monster damage right? Okay, what if you had 15 life nodes and 10 ES nodes, does it balance out?

inb4UDidNotAddArmorETC

Okay, you have a level 51 armor while in a level 61 area and you have also taken 8 Armor nodes. 8% increase.

Basically would like more information on the formulae used, at times the simplist equation can become a great burden. I used "High" Monster damage reduction vs "Low" Life/ES Node reduction, and maybe I am see'ing a problem near higher levels.

I am no Mathematician, so I may see a flaw when there may not be one.

Basically I play Hardcore Witch (lvl66), only in Act2 Merciless with only 15xx life / 11xx ES (summoner)... quite sad compared to other gamers right?
Monster damage is going down way, WAY more than 10% - or at least it's going to need to if they're making armor matter again.

Not unlike most other Hardcore players, I'm really disappointed in the fact that the hardcore 4 month league is merely turbo while the standard one gets to have npc invasions. Isn't hardcore standard, but harder? I personally feel like Onslaught should have the npc invasions as well, so we can experience these the hardcore versions of said npcs.

Otherwise I completely love the update. Only imagining what will happen to the economy both during and after the 4-month leagues in hardcore and standard.

Hardcore is not harder. You are just removed from the league and placed into standard when you die.
