Aww, i've been working on a special hyrri's ire bow templar build for being shown here, but it's too similar
hi all
1. if its a problem feel free to rename with fake-names ^^

Feeling like my wanderer "The_Butcher" is in an ok-ish state atm, gear is still ticking in and increasing its effectivness and survivability.

Maingoal, PAINMASTER :
-Attackspeeds to increase chances to cast supports like flee and blind, culling too and elemental statuseffects.
-Glasscannon, best played in group
-100%-150%increased rarity in combination with powersyphon"culling" for groupplay
-Beartrap and zombies as defense, evasion and block as secondary defenses
-Firetrap to "Nuke" difficult situations
-Charges for Fun

Bloodrage needs to be taken with special care, if you get hit retreat, let it ware out, let the shield regenerate, loose all charges and then start over again.

not sure if this build is interesting/different enough, but it certainly is well balanced, versatile and offers me loads of fun and is great in the hands of those who know how to use the build properly.

The build i use:

My RF build is coming along nicely and is easily playable now, so why not throw it up.

Character: OninFire
Build: Righteous Fire Templar
Description:
At first glance, this guy is a basic Fire mage, using Fireball, Totem of Firestorm, and a half-Fire Ice Nova. He survives easily with decent armor, high health, and huge resistances.
The interesting part is the addition of Righteous Fire. All his added life and survivability is useful for tanking damage, but at the same time it fuels the power of Righteous Fire, allowing him to keep it active for quite a long time and do a load of damage with it. Two Life flasks with Dispels Burning allow him to cancel RF at will, and the completely optional auras add to RF's strength as well.

Weaknesses: RF can be a dangerous skill to use, and this build is not quite as powerful as your average Fire Witch because of the heavy investment in survivability. It can also run out of mana rather quickly.

Optimizations: My eventual goal is to score the Redbeak and Springleaf uniques for my weapon switch, then link my Vitality onto a Blood Magic gem. That way I can decide to tackle easier content with a permanently active RF and the truly immense bonus damage from it and Redbeak. I don't quite have them yet, though.

Interesting because:
- Uses Righteous Fire
- Can tackle different areas with different strategies

I'd like to submit the following character:

CHARACTER: Paithon
BUILD: Melee Shadow

Description:

Invalesco - Versatile Crit Dagger Shadow
Guide: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/42623

I know you're supposed to submit your own characters, and I am doing that. I'm following that build but I'm at a much earlier position along the way on my hardcore character Paithon the shadow.

the guide is so well written though that I had to reference it here. My build doesn't make much use of flicker strike yet. However using the following skills is a ton of fun:

double strike, fire trap, lightning strike, viper strike, whirling blades, summon zombies, clarity.

I use double strike when I'm just attacking one or two weak enemies I don't want to waste mana on. I use fire trap whenever I see a good chance to lay a trap. I use viper strike to take out bosses. I use whirling blades anytime my energy shield takes heavy some damage (to escape). As the guide says though lesser multiple projectile-lightning strike is the real awesome part, spam it to wipe out entire hordes (remember to hold shift). Summon zombies are just messing around but, it's surprisingly useful to have a zombie up even if it's not benefiting from any passives at all, just to take a hit for you while you obliterate things. Clarity is just because I don't have mana leech yet. (I'm leveling tempest shield but don't use it because there won't be enough maximum mana).

Obviously a level 70 shadow would be a bit more exciting to watch, but if you are looking to show off a level 35-40ish build this one is pretty fun! Once you get in the habit of making sure your energy shield is always in place it feels like a pretty safe hardcore setup, even without all it's combo pieces in place. Another interest point to this build is that before level 40 you can really use any weapon you want, because the weapon specific passives come into later, dagger/rapier/claw/sword are all fine for starter weapons. (makes it easy to acquire an awesome rare weapon)

The level 70 version of the build is a lot more complicated and confusing to watch or play I imagine, and so I figured I'd proffer the choice of my weaker but simpler character in case that's something interesting, although I'd also really love to see the end game version of this build so consider this a vote for Invalesco's submission also! (it's right up above my post.)

note: I'm using swap weapons to hide my aura on a seperate set of hotkeys so I don't accidently toggle it, or waste hotkey slots on auras (it might nice if there was a way to use auras without wasting hotkey spots for all those aura's players really never plan to toggle).

Working on a Tri element Blood mage marauder, you guys are gonna love this.
Here is a char I made for a 2wHC event- it's 65lvl atm, and I think it's very interesting:
It's a ranger- the main concer is to SURVIVE. Then- kill them all at once :) (less clicks)
So- with an average equipment, I have ~2200 hp, all resists 75%, and damage reduction above 60%; also: passive hp regen about 80 hp/s (mana ~10), speed +20%. I think it's more than enough to survive anything
Main skill is a Poison Arrow (AOE/DOT), secondary- Fire trap (AOE/DOT) and Bear trap to keep boss inside this hell. White monsters die only from PA, blue- need fire trap in addition, bosses- need to be traped inside fire and few additional arrows

Passive tree:
ign: Ron
My current build is the Dual Wielding Duelist.

Current Thoughts -

Gain as much attack speed and accuracy as possible. ( currently at 2.43 attacks per second ). Utilize Iron Skin to be able to diversity my armor choices between armor and evasion. All goes into armor anyway. Currently 2700 armor.

Main Skill - Double Strike + Frenzy x4. I've never seen an ARPG utilize this insane amount of attack speed, and i haven't even touched the surface of all the skill tree + attack speed nodes. Watching my duelist fight at a blur the entire time is mind blowing.

Support Abilities - Life Leech, Cold Damage, Less Mana required. Obvious why. This type of attack speed and dps ability allows life leech to perform how it is intended. Added cold damage hits my enemies for less speed. Less mana required is just so Wrath can keep my pool open at all times so I never slow down.

Aura's - + Armor, + Mana Regen

This build isn't anywhere near where I'd like it to be at, but for an early game, unorthodox build, it's working alright.

Though, I must admit, I started in hardcore. Didn't make it. I've died more than a number of times too. I'm hoping it will smooth itself out in the late game. But I just don't have enough life leech and evasion yet.

Majora the level 33 Shadow

Long term goals:

Integrate spells and take advantage of the huge spell-crit I have

Integrate +evasion passives, more +life passives

Acquire a two-handed sword that is very favorable for critical damage, critical chance or life leech

-- How Majora is played currently --

1. Critical Weakness a large group of monsters while phase running
2. Turn on Blood Rage
3. Cleave them, hopefully wiping out a few
4. Spam Flicker Strike, holding shift+Q while watching life bar and frenzy charges. If they get low, use potions or switch tactics.
5. When fighting very hard hitting or accurate enemies, make use of the instant-recovery potions available.

I'll be refining Majora through the coming weeks, hope he can make it into a video. I think flicker strike spam will WOW some noobs :P

End Game ::
