Yeah I know what you meant :) but swapping weapons also swaps the skill slots. So you can keep all your auras in your "secondary" skill slots. Pressing X is much quicker than changing your skill slot for each aura you have to activate.


Is it intentional that auras stay activated in that way? On the surface it feels like it's a little exploitative, but if not it's clever idea. I'll consider integrating it into my build when I can actually spare the mana to keep so many auras active :)

Somehow that Reminds of a Bug i tested someday hmm i think it was something about Auras stay Active until you deactivate it, also i throw my Skill gem in my Inventory and i think my Aura was not deactivated, i try it again to be sure!).

but what shall we do whit so many Auras?, i use 3 and more i wont need!

/Edit CONFIRMED We can use as many Auras as we have Mana...

Updated PinkTaric (on page 2) by quite a bit - he's almost a brand new char now. :)

Quick rundown here: With the help of a few uniques, he's capable of laying down 5 permanent curses at a time while running 3 auras. He uses Freezing Pulse as a utility spell (shock, blind, freeze, knockback with projectile weakness, etc.) He wears a bow and uses poison arrow which goes nicely with his increased duration of debuffs passives + temporal chains. Finally, a detonate dead totem for extra some non-scaling damage.

The character is meant to be played in groups (debuffs enemies in MANY ways while buffing his allies), but he is perfectly capable of soloing (albeit at a somewhat slow rate). Right now, I'm working on leveling his Poison Arrow to a point where it's noticeable - I just threw it on there, so it's not doing too much yet. Another week or so and he should be good to go.

Just as a point of reference, when raising this character with a friend, said friend was able to 2-3 shot Merciless Brutus, Merveil, and several other bosses while we were both about 5 levels behind the respective zones. I think he has quite a bit of potential for group play. :)

Twink challenge: make a character that uses 5 curses and 9 auras (7 auras on weapon swap, assuming left click can't be bound for curses or auras)

Then make yourself a partying service and charge people for your help through runs.

Wand Witch here - RabidJackalope; lvl 55; just finished Merciless.


Pros:
> Viable from lvl 1 and scales independently of gear. Dps comes from Elemental hit, auras, and crit passives.
> ~55% chance to apply freeze, shock, and burn on hit due to criticals.

Cons:
> Needs Elemental Hit, which is not a Witch quest reward.
> Uses projectiles, very prone to sync and targeting issues in pyramids, jail, etc.
> CI and no life bonuses means 50% stun chance from getting hit by anything.



Passive Tree

Active Skills
> Ele Hit + LMP + Crit Dmg + Crit Chance: default attack, spam w/ mana flasks.

> Using Voll's Protector to generate charges instead of Power Siphon; stopped using Anger and Wrath to compensate for halved mana pool. Damage buff from power charges more than compensates for lost auras.
> Main attack is Ele Hit + Crit Dmg + Crit Chance + Pierce, for 100% Pierce chance when combined w/ Projectile Weakness.
