Kilgoth - Eldritch Battery Lightning Strike Shadow
Kilgmore - Righteous Fire/Freezing Pulse tankmage Marauder
Kilgington - Remake of the very same Marauder
Kilgtales - Pain Attunement Low Life Caster Shadow
Kylg - Unarmed bitch
So i'm rolling Shadow with claws. Main idea is to use max AS (3.13 at 45 lvl) witch have syn dmg auras and life/hit.

Main skills is Lightning strike. Why? Most important is that its FREAKING FLASHY. 2nd i can pick bosses and other harder to deal monsters from a distance.

I also use blood rage to increase focus charges and hp leach. Since i use blood rage ES becomes useless so i dump it to Eldric Battery. This allows me to have 5 auras and looking forward to 6th. Clarity allows me to support high mana usage, Disciple adds to mana pool, Wrath and Anger are main dps skills, Grace adds to survival. Looking to add Haste or Anger later on when i'll be changing claws at 55lvl since they have 1.5 base as. For maneuvering battlefield and positioning i use whirling blades.

This build is not finished.
Things to do: get 6l armor to put all support auras and with reduced mana. get Gloves with LS+faster attacks+ life on hit+ ad lightning dmg. Change claws at 55 lvl. Balance out survivability. I'm hesitating to take +hp% nodes because Blood rage drains % max hp. But evasion is too far.

I can try to ditch ES armor and go for pure evasion but then dont know if i'll have enough mp to support auras.
I was lucky to get hp potion +98% evasion while in effect and +20 quality critical potion that lasts 1.8s and allows me to deal 5crits to apply shock on harder to deal mobs.

I think its important to remember that blood rage leeches life for a % of physical damage dealt so I'd dump the elemental auras unless you really need them for dps for vitality and purity, etc.
After the re-spec, I managed to keep my Blood Magic Shadow. As a matter of fact, I made it ever more deadly, now that it's level 50 and uses a nice Hatred aura, even if it sidelines 400 HP.

The Flicker-strike cooldown added a bit more strategy to my gameplay, but given the fact that I have more than 3100 DPS with Flicker-strike, I am able, due to Blood Rage, to waltz through quite a bit of monsters before I run out of Frenzy charges.

Character: Darkxon.
Class: Shadow (Blood Magic, Blood Rage, Hatred, One Handed Cleaver / Flicker Striker).
Qualities: Excellent glass cannon. Quite invincible as long as you watch its Hit Point and sometimes drink a potion. Works wonderfully through large packs of monsters and handles bosses very well (especially via Viper Strike with Increased Duration).

The video below shows all my gear and my Passive Skill Tree as well. I will be providing in-site links as well (read at the end of the post).

In this video, you'll see my LVL 50 Shadow have fun in Merciless LVL 52 The Coves.

YouTube video.

About: You might say that it's quite a risky build, given the fact that the Shadow is quite frail and I'm using both Blood Magic and Blood Rage. However... you'd be wrong. I'm waltz-ing through any area and only if I push myself too hard do I risk dying.

In the video above, you will see my enraged/risky style of play. I am almost always blood-raged, so sometimes I need to take a sip or two out out of my potions. If I'd stick to Cleave and less Blood Rage, potions would be unnecessary, given my Life Regen & Life Steal with Cleave.

This build has awesome destruction power so, as I said, it could be classified as a "glass cannon".

General Gameplay Strategy: as long as you're able to keep up with the charges and swoosh from one monster pack to the next, you'll have the dance of your life ::- D. And it's actually quite easy to do so.

Of course, every now and then, the Frenzy charges / Blood Rage expire, usually when I get too focused on surviving or when I am spending too much time on a boss.

Boss Strategies: At least at the moment, I don't care how many bosses I'm fighting. I don't need to pull them apart or exercise too much care. I just wade in, Viper Strike them, use Cleave a lot to get some of my life back, if that doesn't work, I use potions. I'm also using Molten Shell with Increased Duration.

The skill tree is as it stands right now, it started just for fun after the reset of the points of the 0.9.11 patch, but is working good enough till now

SKILLS
main skill:Power syphon with lesser multiple projectile, piercing, faster projectile. Very mana consuming but can wipe packs very fast.

Elemental hit with faster projectile, increased critical chance: backup skill for dealing with bosses, strong single target damage to take down tough enemies.

Blood rage: a good way to earn frenzy charges and having increased life leech.

Warlord's Mark: nice way to keep my flasks full and gaining endurance charges, also improve my life and mana leech.

Discharge with increased area of effect: with 3 endurance, 4 freny and 5 power charges it can deal a nice amount of damage. Also because of blood rage and warlord's mark the frenzy and endurance charges are refunded.

Spark with totem support: just a backup damage source, can sometimes draw aggro and giving me a second to reposition the character, nice damage on normal monsters.

I'm still refining the build, right know i barely survive some areas but i hope is just a matter of gear, let me know what you think.

EDIT: i forgot the character name, Talon_ (yes with the underscore)

Level 67 Iron Reflexes Shadow:

http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAQYAAmUqhg3wYAURDujLGe2egBqQa48anVm0G9O4vxyJZrEg_v6OI-9IrCevXwMphsCPLNfCCy-jDIMw6WYSNrhKMDeXCEQ9Kr74QS3w9EF_DTBExjLpSFn880z7YkFSWXnJUvyEBFNPbMJa415yXWGAbF-buYhjajwyY_J6j2Wn7spwI3fgcKt4knGEKRyAZyxVhAn-KYX9L_yG5oUPiAlmJYlpfpaMKoh2krJitpSDO56VwD5Rlma1DZwvPrGdMLjXnWUYpaFhd4yqSAHzq-AyFa662-GwphHssrORA7ZGC5C3QK26u4z057-C8a7ADNxhwSqz1MSs5kzHDxR6ygGufdYrD7jcBOz-3qCvTd6__ajoQHTt9AqYFPcjILn3PG9795J9zff0myj40jJt-W2Vbfs-I6j9aAlt

I've kind of over-hybridized- I've mashed together two hybrid classes into one, and while it's less flashy than a lot of other builds that get talked about, it pumps reliable high damage, has 16,000 armor and excellent mobility. One thing I think is somewhat unique is my totem: It's Spark + Greater Mult. Projectiles + Blind. While it doesn't do a lot of damage, the fast moving and sheer volume of sparks keep many enemies permanently blinded which, when coupled with temporal chains, makes nearly every pack a breeze. The build is a direct response to my experiences pre 9.11 patch with acrobatics, which I felt didn't work at high levels. Iron reflexes lets you become so tanky that you can really focus on doing maximum damage and less of kiting/escaping.
IGN: Eck
This Hybrid Stat Duelist Build uses multiple (four) Auras and Added Elemental Damage to take advantage of double elemental damage application to dual wielding weapons. It also takes advantage of Blood Magic with Low Reserve Auras to maintain manageable resources with maximum benefit. Its speed, auras, and elemental procs make it very friendly in parties and viable for good PVP.

Pro (+) and Cons (-):
+Powerful Early Game
+Fast and Defensive
+All Three Elemental Damage
+Lots of Auras for Parties

-Skill Gems required from different classes or uncommon drops
-Hybrid requires 100+ of each stat
-Requires taking a lot of Health Passive over Damage to compensate Auras (but Auras already help create a lot of damage)
-Armour Gem Slots need to be Specific Colour and a lot of Links

Here's the progression of my build:

35 Skill Point - Focus on Max Health Skills and take Blood Magic last

52 Skill Point - Utilize Evasion and Armour skills to synergize with Iron Reflex and Unwavering Stance

59 Skill Point - Obtain convenient damage skills of Beserking and Twin Terrors (Crit is good for Elemental Procs).

Current Level - More Health to mitigate Aura increasing demand

From this point, I'm going for Reflex and the nearby Health skills, then the Health + Regen in the middle. After, I go for Elemental Damage and the two 18% damage (Ambidexterity and Fencing).

Skill Gems Build:

Damage Skills
- Dual Strike+Faster Attack+Weapon Elemental Damage+Added Cold Damage (Will add Added Fire Damage then Melee Physical Damage when 5-6L is obtained)
- Frenzy+Cleave+Faster Attack+Life Gain on Hit

Auras
- Wrath+Anger+Reduced Mana Cost
- Discipline+Grace+Reduced Mana Cost

Defensive, Debuffs, and Movement
- Phase Run
- Whirling Blades
- Rejuvenating Totem
- Critical Weakness
- Temporal Chains

Build Theory and Practice:

This is my third character. I had a Marauder and a Witch before, and when I prepared for this build, I was able to get most of the gems I needed using my marauder and witch. I also had a lot of items saved up, but ended up throwing most of it away as my Duelist found better items.

At the start of the game, I had to get to the levels to use the Auras. Focusing on the Health Passives allowed my duelist to be able to equip more mana flasks which made flask gameplay really fun. I was defensive very early and Normal Difficulty is easier when going defensive. Anger, Wrath, and Added Cold Damage compensated greatly for the lack of damage passives.

Note: I don't use Hatred because it reserves a percentage of health, and percentages means when I get more health, the resource cost is greater. I am levelling it anyway to see if the benefit outweighs the cost at higher levels, but even when linked with Reduced Mana Cost, at gem level 15, it was only seeing a 40 dps difference from Added Cold Damage with a level 60 duelist.

In mid game of Cruel and Ruthless, Grace and Discipline helped me survive anything. Grace with Iron Reflex added a lot of Physical Damage Resist, while Discipline helped survivability against high damage rares. Since my build depended on many gems, it kept getting better as the gems levelled up.

At Merciless and Near End-Game, I had finally hit my first deaths, but mainly because I was not being careful due to the habit of feeling too powerful.

I had reluctantly the defensive knowledge I obtained while playing my Marauder experience. Rejuvenating Totem works too well in ranged enemies and helps distract them while I pick them off. Temporal Chains helps give me a chance to react to big hits in Rares with Increased Damage affix. Critical Weakness helped me clear out big waves of melee as my Elemental Crit procs worked its magic of freezing, burning, and shocking.

After shifting mentality, I beat merciless pretty handily while solo, one-shotting the Act 2 boss on the first attempt.

Summary:

This build was a product of experience with the Marauder and Witch. Experiencing different builds and gems allowed me to attempt a powerful min/max character, and I believe I achieved success.

Tidbits:

- Aura gems and links are all in the secondary weapon. It's very easy to turn them on and switch without fumbling with hotbars.

- Discipline Aura will outweigh its cost about more than 2:1. Even with 6 seconds to recharge and Blood Magic preventing the recharge, it will be very effective when kiting hard Rares and charging in with max shields. Discipline also helps my character utilize the ES increase from Int stats.

- I initially was thinking about going up the Marauder tree to its initial defensive branch (Troll's Blood, Heart of the Gladiator, Armour Mastery), but someone gave me the formula for Iron Reflex and realized Evasion was going to give me more Armour than Increase Armour % skills.

Strategy:

For large clusters of mobs, I Phase Run to the center of the pack (normally try to precast Molten Shell), throw up 1-2 Warlord's Marks, then spam Rain of Arrows right on top of my character. Due to Point Blank, Rain of Arrows does a significant amount of damage that is completely spammable due to the life/mana leach from Life Gained on Hit and Warlord's Mark. I also use some panicked potions in case of a sting of high hits. With my high stun duration, many of the mobs tend to get stun locked. The extra Endurance Charges from Warlord's Mark also help with the tanking needed for this build. I can easily get 3 Endurance and Frenzy Charges if need be.

For single targets, I basically the same thing, except spamming Frenzy and Burning Arrow close up. For very tanky mobs, I tend to use Molten Shell much more with a bit of kiting.

Future Plans:

When I get a 5 link Bow/Chest with 3 Greens + 2 Reds, I will add Stun to my Rain of Arrows combo to greatly increase the chance of chain stunning enemies. I also hope to increase the stopping power of my single target dps via the other 5 link item if it ever comes along.

Ending Notes:

I have had a ton of fun with this build and flew through Cruel with it as it is very viable. I do recommend taking Point Blank later in the leveling cycle just because the pure evasion gear with Iron Reflexes gear isn't very good until 35+. You will need the extra damage from a distance until you have 50+% damage reduction.

Knian: super tanky physical damage caster. Templar that uses spells for damage, but is specced around health and armor (a LOT of it) along with concentrating on physical damage instead of elemental.

Currently:
Etheral Knives + Hatred + Added Fire + Faster Projectiles.

Hopefully, I will be able to get determination, haste, and hatred on while supporting knives with blood magic.

Currently, Warlord's mark's leech doesn't work with etheral knives, but I still use it for the charges/endurance. Hopefully this bug gets fixed (I made a thread in the bug section about this)

Also hopes to use blood rage in the future. :)
