Finally all the loot drama will have an end.

Cool, but I think rares and magic maps at least should also allocate to maker, especially since they drop more often now.

this is true,
you really should change it to ALL maps, or this rule is useless.
Magic and Rare maps are more valuable and should go to creator too.

I think you guys might be taking this shit too seriously.

They are pissed, plastic HC gamers.

Pissed that they can no longer prey on people that don't share their ninja tendencies.
Pissed that they will now be more ninja-able themselves by being required to group with ninjas, to ninja.

This 'blahh casual' is nothing but a cloak to attempt to divert their butthurt casual self who is shaking in their boots at having to group with people they pretend to be.

Pissed that you low-skilleds came and killed YET ANOTHER game with your constant casual demands that weren't needed.
First D3, then TL2 and now PoE. What is next? Grim Dawn? You're probably whining on their forums already about instanced loot, "dis game too hard, maek ez mode", etc.
Right on!! I am currently playing with friends and we pick up what we really need , at the most part of a map loot stays on the floor , we dont rush , we dont "ninja" eachother with other words we enjoy the game and we play fair. But i think this improvements will take the game one step forword for those who join random praties. Keep it up!
Love this! Wonder how the selection screen looks like, and I hope you can set a 'default mode' in the settings for any party you create onward.

this is bad chris. you are pussying out on this one. teenagers cry because they cant loot fast enough on maps the 6sockets so you just give into them. thats bad. i really had respect for ggg but the past few months its down the hill. keep this up and you will start losing players and the only people that will stay will be A) the most hardcore that are bored out of median xl and play this because there is no other game to play B) children that like to play games like diablo3 where the devs make everything to make the game as casual as possible

this was supposed to be a game for hardcore players, not for kids. with this changes to loot, you made this game for kids.

i dont remember many children playing d2, just because of the loot system. and that was a good thing.

I know what I remember from D2, playing it for 10 years. It was totally impossible to get any good loot at all when doing boss runs in party games because of the bloody pickit cheats.
catering to dem casual scrubssssssssssss, nah good changes i guess
Onslaught mode is probably just a mode with FFA drop rules, lol.

Personally, I've never liked FFA or timed allocation loot. I understand and respect the design principle, but as all of my partying would be with randoms, I don't want to deal with some random person's issues. I just want to enjoy the game. Maybe if I had friends who play PoE, I'd try it, but as it stands pre-0.11, I haven't touched partying at all.

With this change there's a very good chance I'll try out partying in the near future. So, thanks, GGG, you're awesome!

If you're in a level 62 area and a level 62-64 item drops, it gets allocated. A level 61 item does not.

If you're in a level 75 area, a level 74 item is not allocated.

For solo farming (or even parties), would be pretty cool if we could filter whites like you allocate 'valuable items' in parties, it's an usability matter. Highest white items for the zone, 6-4L, etc.

Also I believe it should't be lvl 74 item is not allocated, but highest possible item of that class, for the zone, is allocated. Plenty of times there won't be a 'same than zone level' item, but one lvl or two lower than zone.
