The zero dollars comment is just wrong. Also donating more doesn't give your opinion more weight.

Donating of course doesn't give me or anyone else more weight on an opinion. Nor did I ever say it would.
Donating usually though DOES mean that the said individual is more committed to playing the game for a longer time, than someone who just enjoys it for free for a while.

Could we have it back (as option?) to see to which player the loot is allocated? We make a fair use of the actual situation where (mostly) the 'right' char gets the item - and in a party >2 its always a nasty asking around "there dropped xxx for somebody, come all and check..." especially annoying if the one its assigned is out of sight.

No. I definitely do not want to see named loot to return ever. It just clutters the field of play and adds another layer to deciphering loot. The current system is very clean and satisfactory.

There's a reason why I suggested to make it optional ^^

To address your issue you would run Permanent Allocation.

You understand right - but what did it solve: nothing. I still would not see who's drop it is and still have to call all party members back to take a look and decide between picking and unallocating. My wish is to have the ability to call just the right of my mates, not all of them. The perfect solution to "my issue" (fair sharing within the party but 'controlled' by the rng) would be to have named loot combined with no allocation timer ^^ - so that everyone in the party can pick what drops at his feet and then give it to the one it was primal assigned; no wait, no runback, more progress speed, more fun.

This is one very big chance that i like a lot. I only played with people i know so far. That might change after this patch.

Also, 5L and 6L and maps absolutely needed to get allocated as well, so good job. 6 Sockets would be nice as well, those are worth enough to pick up for about everyone.
this is bad chris. you are pussying out on this one. teenagers cry because they cant loot fast enough on maps the 6sockets so you just give into them. thats bad. i really had respect for ggg but the past few months its down the hill. keep this up and you will start losing players and the only people that will stay will be A) the most hardcore that are bored out of median xl and play this because there is no other game to play B) children that like to play games like diablo3 where the devs make everything to make the game as casual as possible

this was supposed to be a game for hardcore players, not for kids. with this changes to loot, you made this game for kids.

i dont remember many children playing d2, just because of the loot system. and that was a good thing.

yes, 6S is worth to be allocated

comment for above : actual system would remain available.

I think you guys might be taking this shit too seriously.

They are pissed, plastic HC gamers.

Pissed that they can no longer prey on people that don't share their ninja tendencies.
Pissed that they will now be more ninja-able themselves by being required to group with ninjas, to ninja.

This 'blahh casual' is nothing but a cloak to attempt to divert their butthurt casual self who is shaking in their boots at having to group with people they pretend to be.
Casually casual.

Ohhhh how sweet, you think you can hurt me with that?
Give me a reason to change and I will. At least I can see it and analyze it.

Very disappointed that you gave in for the casuals. Very, very disappointed.

Won't be playing for a week now to boycott this decision. (Not that anyone cares, but still)

Is this the start of the slippery slope for GGG that they've been warned about? Only time will tell...

Lol you mad ninja?

Thanks to this news i can go back to the game after...3 months?????

Having the game be more accessible will lead to more "casuals" who clutter up the standard/default server which you (probably) never play. And, almost -always- more players means more money, so this should only lead to better long-term success for GGG.
