Item Allocation Specifics

I personally absolutely love this change, can safely sit with show items turned off and avoid screen real estate clutter.
You know, that's why I love GGG.
Thank you for listening to your players.
if I were to select the permanent allocation, could I toggle off "show labels" and not still accidentally pick up non visible (because they are below the high value) items?

so i will still need to keep it on specifically so that I'm not selecting something when Im walking?

i'm just trying gauge the change

This is great. How could you not like it? It just gives you options so that everyone can be happy! If you like FFA, play FFA! :D

Hooray true FFA loot is back! No more waiting around to pick things up while playing with friends where we pretty much share everything anyway.

This is how my friends and I (...when I get some) will roll for sure. :)

If I ever get a pc that can play this game above 7 fps I'll be your friend. :-)
Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent.

I used to love GGG. I supported to ensure GGG remained independent, now I just wish I could get my money back. -_-
Chris,I am curious as well if failing to pick up an item due to inventory space will still unallocate (word?) the item. Please say yes, inventory management should still be a thing.

Hey...is this thing on?

And I want Path of people actually playing public games. With the M2M change people might actually PUG in maps! Friggin awesome.

5 minute timer eh? I give it less than 2 days after the patch before we see whiners in the forum complaining that 5 minutes is not enough time and they are tired of being ninja'd.

That is completely ridiculous. Mad or something?

turn on the option to hold in the alt key in order to loot.

Then hit the 'z' key to turn off labels if you wish.

White maps to owner, blue/rares/uniques not? I see there a conflict where IIR increase the chance for not getting map by owner.

I like the permanent alloction anyway. No more ninjas. Just waiting for some funny situations. For example exalted drop which wasn't noticed by its owner. 5 ninjas waiting around for five minutes. Just before timer ends, owner picks up the item. TROLOLOLO

I'm pretty sure that your IIR/IIQ doesn't affect maps.
The monsters IIR, however, now does (and maps IIR?).

Also worth noting, I'm pretty sure a unique roll is done first, then an item is picked.

Now it 'could' be that a category is picked before the unique roll, but it most definitely isn't the full item base that rolls first.

In other words, it is highly likely that a unique map was never a white map prior to it being a unique map. For rares and blues, this may not be the case, but it is down to the monsters' IIR, not the party member killing blow IIR.
Casually casual.
