Simple answer, no. It was not the loot system that made party play unappealing in D3.
Well, I can say in farming in D2 with friends or good players would only lead to an amazing amount of drops.
D3, this feeling doesn't exist. Its indeed a bubble.
You farmed with other people in D2? Why would you do that?
In D2 you joined other people's public games and did SOLO 8 player content to maximize item yield.
Because I had friends.
Which means its like a solo 8 player game with friends who help each other out.
Sure I joined a lot of 8 player games to solo. But it was always better with friends. We could wipe out whole games in 30 mins. Made a killing like that loot wise.
In public games you had to hurry and you could kill a few things before the game was empty.

I had friends too, but we would never play together (outside of ubers/pvp/muling)... it was just much much more efficient to solo in other players games. I would solo clear Nil/Chaos/Meph/Andy in 8-player baal games. I often got done in time to join in for the baal kill! infintiely more efficient than fighting for drops with other people.

If you don't want it to be silent then ask for voice chat. Its kind of hard to keep up with a group and type at the same time.
I have no problems with it. I'm starting to see a pattern emerging here... Should the game switch to analphabets as the primary target audience too?

You are better than everyone else, so if people who are as good as you is the target audience they would only have one customer.
Right?

Well, my friends stopped playing before ubers where added. This was also pre-enigmas. I honestly hated D2 the moment enigmas came into play.
We would wipe out whole games. We would usually yield more then a few simple monster runs.
We all had huge MF on.. Probably the most fun I had playing D2 in PVM was with friends clearing whole games.

Right?
Possibly. But I doubt that I'm the only person in the entire game who's able to operate a common mouse/keyboard interface semi-competently. Perhaps you shouldn't hold the average PoE player in such low esteem. Even if some are struggling with it, is it not better for the system to gently nudge them towards honing their (basic computer operation and perception) skills instead of lowering the bar to the very ground?

Yes, because obviously people who prefer no loot tension cannot functionally operate a keyboard and mouse. This should have been so obvious...
Wait, how does allocated loot help someone who can't operate a keyboard/mouse? They still won't be able to get the items, or join the instance, or launch the game for that matter....
Oh wait, you are just being a fucktard. Gotcha.

What the hell did he just say? Someone translate.
Edit: Oh still acting high and mighty, I get it. I'm willing to bet I type faster than you do. That doesn't mean I want to take my hand off of the mouse over and over again just to type some messages that the group would probably ignore anyway. Where did you get such a high horse?
