Because I had friends.

Which means its like a solo 8 player game with friends who help each other out.


Sure I joined a lot of 8 player games to solo. But it was always better with friends. We could wipe out whole games in 30 mins. Made a killing like that loot wise.

I would solo clear Nil/Chaos/Meph/Andy in 8-player baal games. I often got done in time to join in for the baal kill! infintiely more efficient than fighting for drops with other people.

Possibly. But I doubt that I'm the only person in the entire game who's able to operate a common mouse/keyboard interface semi-competently. Perhaps you shouldn't hold the average PoE player in such low esteem. Even if some are struggling with it, is it not better for the system to gently nudge them towards honing their (basic computer operation and perception) skills instead of lowering the bar to the very ground?
