Well, considering that we are not forcing our opinion of the correct system down other people's throats I would say that we are not all being bigots.

As I have stated I don't deny your right to FFA, I support options, this is not bigotry. I have not put you down at all for supposedly enjoying FFA (which I don't understand how this is the case when you are complaining about FFA actually being a real option). I have however taken offense to your disdain of people who simply wanted to be able to choose.

It is pretty obvious that people who support the options are not bigoted in their view as they are open to the FACT that different people prefer different play styles. The fact that you and your ilk cannot accept this and belittle people for not subscribing to your dogmatic views of how the system should be simply proves the point.

I have nothing but love for GGG, POE and the people who support it. Just because i tell people to stop crying, stop bitching and quit whinning does not mean i don't respect the person. I just think their view of how the game should be is ass backwards.

If i could add my 2 cents. I would mainly prefer a looting system like diablo 3. But either way i would prefer a single looting system over a bunch of options.

Even tho i prefer a diablo 3 loot system, i could live with a diablo 2 loot system aswell. The entire ideology of letting people choose how looting works seems dysfunctional in a game like Path of Exile. It also show that the game devs will change their basica game concepts to suit everyones taste. Which is not something myself would want to see in a RPG style of game.

Its sad that we all can't play the same game together and have fun. But, im very interested to see when and how they will implement these options. I see even more problems arising for even more options. Just my 2 cents.

The D2 loot system was dysfunctional, but it didn't matter because it was barely not the 90's and items in D2 were not required for progression like they are in PoE. I'm playing a Witch right now, I'm at level 32 and I basically NEED to farm some before I can go on any further because my equipment is just so bad and I can't deal with those stupid jumping, puncturing zombies (especially when there's some stupid bow statue ice shotting me at the same time).



I think the RNG gods saw that wand I wound up with and decided "Yeah, that's enough for this one!"

Anyway, having options just makes sense. Shorter timers make it harder for ranged and high ping players to get their share of the loot. Longer timers slow down the game. It's partially a performance trade-off, partially a gentleman's agreement between players how long an item has to be on the ground before it's a FFA for it. Options let players decide how the performance trade-off works, and lets them pre-emptively enforce their gentleman's agreements in an environment where simply killing and looting the corpse of the transgressor isn't an option.

Im never that harsh and neither are most people, reading out of context can make it seem like that if someone chooses to do so.. But seriously. If someone complains about certain things its basically described as crying/cry babies/whiners/bitching. Its nothing personal at all. Its describing someones action/re-action and telling them to man up and deal with it.. Its not an insult at all. Not in my world at least.

It may not be a choice word for some people. But it is for most people. Which is why you see it being used. Sure, there are better words or more tasteful words which could be used but common. Its a game forum not a UN meeting.

But like i said, Sorry if i offended anyone. Its not as if anyones twisting my arm to to say that. I do it because i can and want to. I don't expect anything back.
