Did you die from the flicker hits and her new EK attack? 3k life and 5k armor (you didnt use granite?) vs a damage aura flicker pack all hasted, can still be painful. Then again you have high block, enfeeble on and 4 charges .... soooo I dont know :/ And with 60 chaos res and some good regen, the viper charges shouldnt have been an issue, or at least not that much if you say had 4 of them on you at once. Was this with aegis aurora?
I got aegis aurora and i had granite flask on, i forgot to mention that.
The spiders did not flicker, they used viper strike and i really didnt notice the attacks of the boss spider because there was really many of them, overwhelming i might say.
Really dont know how, second time as soon as i entered the room i casted enduring cry got myself 4 charges, poped a granite flask and went straight to kill the phys dmg aura rare. I died on the way..

3% max attacks block is not worth losing almost half your spell block imo
25+12% x 78% = 29% with a perfect rainbowstride
50+12% x 78% = 48% with SOL (and 68% with a perfect rainbowstride too)
75 to 78% is still roughly 1 in every 4 attacks getting through over a long streak of attacks.
you lose 10 ias and 20 ms with that amu,
you gain a small amount of armor and 40 life on block, but how good is it? Also, I think the reflected physical on block is crap.
Your point is right, the major losses are the spell block and the lost ias/ms, but i thought the 78% block and the 10 passive skill points u save from going to 75% would compensate these losses. With these skill points u could get more armor and more dps nodes.
I forgot about the 10% block on the amu, silly me. Yeah that is nice :)
The Jungle Valley boss after patch has been the only boss I've died to. I have 16k armor (27k w/granite) and a amethyst flask up that took me up to 35% chaos res, and still got one shot. Not to mention I was using dominating blow on as many rare/magic mobs in the room so I was gaining their auras too. Only way to counter it I guess would be to just get more HP.
Was wondering if someone could take a look at my gear with gems and make any recommendations. The problem I'm having is using Bringer of Rain. You are not only losing the chest but you lose the helm slots for gems. The way I have them setup is how I currently use them. The other issue is I can't really do a weapon swap because I absolutely need the sockets on either the weapon or shield. The BoR did solve the need for a six-link but it's really tough to make the build work without a 6link and the massive dps increase from Soultaker. My main hand weapon is pretty good and i get 7000+ dps currently running my auras. Not great but hey without ST it can only be so good. Another issue is ES. Since you don't use a AR/ES Chest you miss out on that buffer on Aegis.
Also here is my skill tree: Should I remove US and put some into ES. I have a little over 500 ES right now?

@Dragon
(Anyone can reply and say his opinion dont get me wrong)
2 things i want say:
1) Yesterday i was in a a 72 map (Jungle Valley) and i died 2 consecutive times in the boss room. These 2 deaths were the first deaths i ever had since i changed my spec into infernal tank (for the last 4 months, i m 83 lvl now).
I still dont know if i could survive in that room if played differently, but here are the facts of the monsters in that room: Spider boss + 10 normal spiders + 5 blue spiders + 1 rare spider with extra phys dmg aura + 1 rare spider with elemental reflect + all spiders had 4-5 frenzy charges + all hit with viper strike.
I did not die from the ele reflect, i died after 5-10 seconds from the hits with 4 endurance charges on and enfeeble on all the mobs (both times i died this way). My 2 friends died almost instantly (LA ranger / Dual spork witch).
My question is if i could survive, maybe i didnt play it right.
My stats are 70% block / 5k armor / 3k life / 850 ES / 5k dps IB on a 5L / 50% phys dmg reduce with endurance charges on / and most importantly 60% chaos res.
2) I wanted to ask Dragon and anyone that uses this build, if u have thought of Anvil amulet + Rainbowstrides boots.
This makes your block chance 78% and gives you 25% spell block instead of 50% (which translates approx 25%-30% spell block on tooltip i suppose).
The downside of it is that you lose hp from boots and 10% attack speed but u get 500 armor + life evey time u block + nice dmg every time u block and ofc 78% block chance.
Would that be more tanky/viable than Stone of Lawzar + Rainbostrides?
Thanks for all your replies in advance.
I was in that same map yesterday, and I already know what you're dying from. It's the Chaos Damage. Even if you mitigate a lot of the damage with the armor in the build, unless you have some of that super high HP gear that he's sporting, you're gonna get demolished by spider bosses with their chaos damage. 2 reasons actually: 1.) High HP gear needed to combat the chaos damage, and 2.) Soul Taker negates the need to use Blood Magic on your skills (Infernal Blow, etc.)
Well, that's that happened to me anyways. I doubt I'll be taking on that spider until I have a much larger HP pool with this build.
I will be around a little later to answer some of these questions. Few hours tops, I hope!

The problem with using BoR is that it is counter-intuitive for this build. The build is built upon the premise of blocking, and the blind would make you less likely to receive a strike to block?

I dont think that's accurate. I block just fine. Now you could say that since I'm using Unwavering Stance that the blind skill off BoR would not function correctly since you cannot evade anyways therefore enemies always hit you. If I remove Unwavering Stance then blind would reduce the enemies chance to hit, but also would block the same way.
TwyceNyetlee: If you're gonna use BoR, then you'll probably want to use a Soul Taker as well so you don't have to rely on using BM. Otherwise, I'd probably stash the BoR till then since you'll need more sockets to use BM gems and auras. Once you get a Soul Taker then things start to really get a lot better. Then you can use the BoR and still run 7 auras and Tempest shield, and still have enough room for a curse and leap slam or enduring cry.
Jadran: The build is definitely capable of soloing the Jungle Valley boss. I just can't with half my HP reserved for auras (running around with 1.4k hp). I'll need to get some new rings/belt/gloves to compensate for my HP loss including taking off the auras that reserve my life. I ran a level 77 shrine map today and it was easy, but that Jungle Valley boss hits about as hard as the boss in Crematorium.
apparat07: BoR does work well with this build. Even with blind it doesn't mean you won't get hit. It's just more ways to avoid damage on top of everything else with this build.
As I've been playing with this build for quite a while now, I've found out that Infernal Blow is great for doing low level map farming, but if I'm gonna run level 70+ maps I switch to Dominating Blow.

Technically you don't even need Tempest Shield with BoR because of the 15% block that comes with it. I'm already maxed on block without TS. I know what your saying but ST doesn't just fall from trees. It's a 20 exalt investment combined with Aegis Aurora your at 24-25 exalts easy not including your other items.
ST - 20 Exalts maybe more
Aegis Aurora - 4-5 exalts
6link- 15-18 exalts
other items - few exalts
This is a crazy expensive build. Only 2% of players can probably afford it. Is it a great build? Absolutely, but for most people its not even attainable.
You can't get above 10k dps without Soultaker
You can't get enough ES without a chest with AR/ES on in
You don't get the block or ES regen without Aurora
And I didn't even bring up Int and Dex issues
I love the build and so far with BoR it still works really well. So it's really a poor mans version but it's still very expensive.
