I am as excited as I have ever been while playing this game. I reaaaaaaaaly hope I can get my hands on this amazing weapon. I am not sure if it was you or someone else I spoke to in game when I said I would put AFD into the link if I ever got this axe, but I just tested it out, and for my gear setup, melee physical damage provided a bigger dps gain, as well as more dmg to leech from.

So, always a good idea to check all your options :)

just a quick question, do the 3 talents in the duelist area "water dancing" and the 2 other 1 handed dmg/speed talents add to face breaker dmg ? i avoided them because i assumed they wouldnt..
Do you use aurora shield for the ele dmg? Are lionseye or chernobog's viable cheaper alternatives?

Any passive with weapon in it will not work with facebreakers. Kind of disappointing at times =(

The ele dmg is a plus but the best part about it is the returned ES.
Haha ok then. Fuck me. It will be ages before I can afford anything like that... can't even afford 1 ex. Whomp.

Thanks!

Do I have to use Stone of Lazwhar? How important is the spell block chance? Can I make do without it at say level 80 in maps?

I'm asking this because I'm quite fond of my
which I've been using for my current build and I'm thinking of transitioning.
I was wondering what would be better to save up for first? Would I be better off getting Aegis or a 6 link chest? Also does anyone know what a half decent 6 link chest goes for in Anarchy?
I would like some critique/advice for my ongoing build. What can I change so that I can be tankier without losing much dps if there is any possible way of doing it.

Only reason why I am asking this is because I have no idea if my build can survive the higher level maps. I can do 69s by myself fine but in some scenarios with party I can get insta killed... Maybe it's because of reflect, I have no clue. :/

Things to take note of:
-I did in fact follow Dragon's passive tree.
-I will accept any harsh criticism that is thrown at me if this build looks random.
-Those reserve nodes I took were to test if I can fit in a 9th aura. This being determination. I have not tried it yet since I don't have the funds right now to buy an alphas helm. I will once I buy it and level up 4 more times to get the other two reserve nodes.

Stats
-5k Armor without Flask. 8k With a granite. (No % Mod sadly)
-3950 Life
-72 Fire/78 Cold/80 Lightning/32 Chaos Resistance (With Purity)
-75% Chance to block attacks/47% to block skills
-266.6 Life regen/s (With Vitality)
-6.6k Infernal Blow DPS.

Hi there,

The very first thing you need to fix asap is your resists. Cap them. You cannot even imagine how much of a difference even 2% resist can make when coming up against a mob that does HUGE elemental damage.

Your gear looks quite good, your stats look great aside from not being resist capped, your passive tree could use a minor tweak but still looks fine. I wish I knew exactly what you are dying to. There are a few things to watch out for when running maps. I go over them in the guide but for the most part, the ele reflect mod is DANGEROUS with infernal blow. I highly suggest you keep a leveled alternative gem on weapon swap. I am pretty fond of double strike and glacial hammer IF you have a 20q splash gem.

Something you should consider... you are spending 3 points in order to save 10% mana reservation in an attempt to run determination aura which at max level grants 40% armor. With those same 3 points you can grab the armor nodes in the duelist start and gain 52% inc armor.

I have not done the math yet to prove it, but I am about 99% sure that 10% reduced mana reserved is not enough to run determination on mana with the other auras. Also keep in mind that at some point the bm trick will get fixed and alphas howl too.

Your armor is a bit low, but I don't think it is low enough for you to get killed in the manner you described. A great way to test out if more armor will help is to run a map while keeping end charges up at all times. If you feel much tankier afterwards, then it is time to consider getting more armor.

I currently have just under 8k and have no issues. When I get to a physical boss, or even some blue/yellow packs that are able to actually hurt me, it is always as simple as rolling end charges and a granite flask. For this reason, I choose not to invest heavily into armor nodes in the build.

Another thing that is very dangerous is not having maxed resists. If you are running a -max resist mod map or ele weakness curse map, you MUST play very safe. It is always better to link a LL gem to your IB when you are in these maps. Your dps will suffer, but it is worth saving the time/frustration of losing 15% exp.

When your gear gets good enough, you won't even need to use LL for these maps. Once you can achieve 50% overcapped resists, you negate ele weakness fully. Once you can get enough regen/leech/lgoh from gear/build, you can afford to keep your dps gems even in a -max resist map. BUT, take note that when your resists are not at 81%, reflect ele dmg mobs will kill you. I have learned that lesson many times.

I know this a general wall of text, but if you can specify what exactly you are dying to, I can prob help more.

Best of luck man,

-Dragon
