I'm assuming the 12% mace dmg and 12% staff damage nodes were missclicks?

There's a few things I would change but given that you already started... it would take a bunch of regrets. Anyways, I am going to bed. Maybe tomorrow I can come up with something better :P

Ah damnit... I couldn't help myself. These are the changes I had in mind.

Pretty worried about Hp though. Especially with facebreakers and no wep. I have no experience with FB builds, so take my advice with a grain of salt..

And this time, I am truly going to bed :D

cya! Long day tomorrow... won't be around much sadly.

Hey dragon, my mara was a 2h marohi erqui ground slammer, then i found your build and started working on it, gotten a 6L chest and all was going great i had 4.1k hp with almost the same stats as yours except for the dps. Then after thinking about the CI buff, and how elemental reflect is painful and dying to it many times, and the possibilities of nerfing bloodmagic stacking auras, and it actually lowering our EHP, i theorycrafted a CI build, Then REALIZED IT!!

Current Build:
Spoiler
http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgEBAdwLYQyNDPcNSQ6tEHsS4RXXGNsaMhtFHNwegSFgJIsn7Si1KaUqOCsKLL8yCTwtPQ9AVUCgQYdDY0OcRnFHBkuNTdhPfVFgVmNY9VnzXhNfamCIYSFhUmaeb1dxTXKpdPF4DXloerh7jHy7fNl_xoBWgseE74aujHaOv4_6kyeVIJrPncSePJ65n8ui6qluqZWsqqyvrpO0DLTFtfK3Mbc-vjq-isAawQDBBMHFwuzDbcOGxPbGrteG2xrb5-Lq55Hp1ewY707z3fVL_xw=

This Build focuses on:
-Chaos innoculation, Ghost reaver, vaal pact, unwavering stance, iron reflexes and resolute technique.
-A claw build that gives 12% life leech ton of armour and 56% resistall from passives alone.
-with aegis aurora 11k armour and 3.5k es, i almost stay at full es the entire time
-tempest shield linked with manaleech, iron will and reduced mana, the mods on these supports gems are 100% so tempest shield stays on 17% mana reserve.
-Equiping aegis aurora and and tempest shield gives almost 67% to block attacks. Stone of lazhwar and Rainbowstrides give almost 55% to block spells.
-DOUBLE STRIKE INSTEAD OF INFERNAL BLOW.
-Blood rage to get more leech and then getting those free frenzy charges.

my Gear:

Spoiler

Currently working on getting a dream fragments, divining the chest so it rolls higher es/armour. Getting rid of gloves to make room for manaleech/highes gloves.

I think after getting better armour on almost all my gear i can drop determination and run hatred which can boost my dps by a LOT.

the downside of this build is the manaleech, you need roughly 4%, and i linked tempest shield with manaleech incase of ooming in no regen maps.It fills up my manapool exceptionally well, taking in consideration that tempestshield can have higher dps then the comp im running now, this can really be helpfull.

the upside is the total life leech: 12%from passives , 7%warlords mark(you can run vulnerability if you'd like), 4% from bloodrage, and from my claw another 5%: which gives a total of 28% lifeleech :P

once i hit lvl 84 i made this build, it's really endgame so i dont really recommend it to everyone. i just wanted to have fun tweaking Your build Dragon into perhaps a better endgame build? Just wanted your thoughts and everyone else's to see if this is good or not.

dragon why dont you use a facebreaker`? wouldnt be the dmg much higher?

how would your build be with a facebreaker?

the fire dmg on weopon points would be usless then or?

Hi,
I'm using similar build with facebreakres and bringer of rain. Now it is the best option. With equipment worth about 1/3 of what dragon had to spent I have TWICE his dps. No expensive 6L is needed or any good weapon.
Some stats:
20.000 dps AOE (with melee splash)
3400 life
1100 ES
14000 arm
72% block
80/85/80/-25 res
Stats, items, passives
ing: Storm_Gaze
This build is tonnes of fun. Thanks for throwing it together. It's all I wanted out of a melee build. You weren't joking when you said boss fights while levelling take a while. I just spent 20 minutes killing Vaal on Cruel with the equivalent of what felt like a fly swatter. I didn't die though, nope, not even once. Even face tanked a few smashes.

A couple of things that I've personally noticed.

* One thing that I noticed is helpful, because you have a pretty big health pool and blood magic, around 50, you can start using blood magic + reduced mana to activate wrath + anger off of your health pool, still carrying around 1k health if you have reasonable gear by then.

* Early levels, it's almost necessary to have the wurm's molt belt for the +2%/+2% leech. Otherwise you just run out over and over. They are pretty cheap.

* Switching melee splash out for WED is a big single target increase, thanks for that tip. Really painful without it.

* You can 4 link to an increased area gem to make infernal blow more effective if you can't initially afford +qual infernal blow.

* Vitality, was my first aura and it allowed me to use blood magic + bright beak after I broke 1000 health.

* Cheating a bit and hitting into the +physical damage nodes for a specific weapon type can boost your dps. I picked up a brightbeak hammer early on, and took the first 3 nodes of mace for the dps boost - plan to drop them later.

Alright, I have to get this off my chest. LeMing, I am very sorry that I accused you of "copying" my build. It is pretty clear to me now that you did NOT. My only excuse for being such a dick in your thread was that I really REALLY hate when people call for nerfs to unique items. In this case, I took it as an insult to my own build when you claimed that Aegis Aurora was what made you immortal.

So again, I am sorry for being a jerk. But I still don't agree with you. Now that we have that out of the way, I feel I should point out that I have actually spent less on my personal gear than you have assumed. I didn't buy all of it. I found the sword and belt, crafted the chest and gloves, crafted both rings, and bought the helm and boots all relatively cheap. At least all cheaper than it would have cost me buy them.

Maybe my gear is worth more, which I kinda doubt, but it definitely did not cost me twice what yours did. There is one thing I would like to point out about your build though. The 10% increased ele damage node will also increase the damage from infernal blow's corpse explode. And I am not positive, but I think the amplify node does as well. Ele reflect can sometimes be dangerous with Infernal blows corpse explode and buffing its damage is imo, a bad idea.

Now, to everyone else... LeMing has a really nice looking build for those seeking the bringer of rain route. But, if you read my guide you should know by now that I did not create it based on doing the highest dps. I have been focused entirely on making this build able to kill the hardest map bosses with some of the hardest map mods.

Personally, I am not willing to sacrifice 1k hp, overcapped resists (no need to even care about ele weakness anymore), and 100 hp/sec for even a 10k dps gain. But that is the beauty of the game. Feel free to take a basic idea and mold it to your ideal situation.

I hope this clears some things up for people. If you want max dps you came to the wrong guide. If you want max survival with potential for decent dps, you came to the right place.
