Dragon's Immortal Tank (Updated for 1.2)

I did everything the same as you (ofc not the exact gear but slots and gems) but I have no mana left to cast Tempest Shield. What did I do wrong I wonder.

Hi again dragon,

I have now 5'3k dps with mele splash, running hatred, wrath, purity and grace in mana, discipline on life.

What do u think i need to get more dps?? Except gloves and boots i have all the gear that i want.



Changing my weapon?? now have 226 physical dps, 260 dps combined.

i am level 72 and i want take 55% more physical damage from start marauder tree.

Changing my boots and gloves i become: maxed resis and 0% chaos resis

merciless piety down,total deaths 27 time from act1 norm to act 3 merciless lvl 66........

survavibility is still not quite there...can still get burst in under 2 sec.guess aegis aurora is what make this build strong.not sure il get one anytime soon in anarchy :(

Keep in mind that I have a level 20 reduced mana gem. If yours is not level 20 yet, you prob won't be able to cast tempest shield.

I had suspected that Bringer of Rain would lead to lower dps due to not being able to use Weapon Elemental Damage. For me, WED provides over 3k dps increase. I think you can be pretty happy with 5.3k dps IF you like to solo. If you like to run with groups it will begin to feel like your not really hurting bosses much.

It is up to you, but 5k dps is a great start. You don't have to have the best gear right away. I didn't start maps with the gear I am wearing. It took me months to find/craft the stuff I needed. I remember a time when my dps was only 3k!

Just keep in that the build has the potential for great damage when you get your gear where you want it. And also keep in mind that it will take time to get there unless your rich and buy everything :P

i have been able to start using tempest sheild (with all % aura up) with a reduced mana lvl 17(req lvl 63) .i havent tested a lvl 16 one but when i tried with a lvl 17,i had like 8 mana left so dont think you can with lower then 17.

I was able to get Hatred, Purity, Vitality, and Tempest Shield with a level 17 reduced mana. However, this leaves me with insufficient mana to cast any of my mana-consuming abilities: leap slam, warlord's mark, or enduring cry.

I currently have 33 mana left. The only thing I have that is not BM'd is enduring cry. I also have a separate enduring cry linked to BM. I dropped decoy totem for another end cry gem since I never use the totem anyways.

yea when you get all your % aura +tempest sheild you wont have much mana left to cast anything,just link leap slam/ele weakness/enduring cry with BM.

aura like grace/wrath/anger/discipline,never use them on mana,use them on life with the unique chest :the convenant that give BM.early game,just use grace linked to BM and reduce mana.


p.s:hey dragon,should i go with leather and steel before trying to get my block nods?i got all my life nods,elemental adaptation,blood drinker.leather and steel will help for when i dont block and the +20 dex will make me able to up 2-3 lvl of my grace but those block nods with spell nlock etc....would be a insane boost also.. lol wich first ?

Leather and Steel is more a quality of life thing. I hate being slow, especially in a group of ranged. But you can also consider it defensive since it gives armor and helps you move out of bad stuff quickly. I would grab it when you feel like you need it :) Pretty sure I grabbed mine at around lvl 80.

with chaos resis = 0% is enougth to end game? high maps? (70+)
