Wrong, you don't need 90% damage reduction, this game has no such hitters, that you'd ever need 90% damage reduction from armour. Vaal is the only one and unless you're doing it 24/7 you should also be using Immortal Call there to be 100% sure you don't die to the smash.

Rhoa's charges and Mortality Experimenters corpse explosions are the hardest hits you'll ever receive as physical in this game, and well, my 38.5k armour is just way "overkill" amount of armour, i'm not having it so high, because i wanted the damage reduction to be 81%. Only reason is, that i want so high armour rating, that it's enough to refill my ES from one block, it's not far from it, but also no longer achievable, i don't have more than 2 more skill points left and then i'm 100 and it would require 6 points to make it refresh all 1927 ES :)

And how do i know this ? For the reason that i've leveled my Marauder in 3 months to 98 and fastly going to 99, that's basically the same speed guys are going in Anarchy league and yeah, i started this char 2 weeks after Ana / Onsla started. And this would never be possible if i kept constantly dying. I've been doing 30-50x 76-77 maps every single day for the last 1-1½ months and can pretty much tell what the character can handle and what it cant.

One thing it can't handle with -31% chaos resistance is, 5 alchemists throwing poisonbombs and i'm standing still and writing in chat. Should get more chaos resistance to be able to chat anywhere at any given time lol. That's the only death for last almost 3 month, sadly it happened on level 97 :)

obviously, without a soul taker and a 5 link, you are missing 2 slots of dps gems. You cant reach that level of dps without wed and mpd/fa.

also, you need to replicate his exact amount of str, skill tree dmg passives, and get higher level of infernal blow and gems to end up with the same dps. And thats after you get a soul taker and 6 link

I think I was pretty lucky with getting the right mods with average rolls. Only took 5 eternals/exalts to get all the mods. Last eternal/exalt was life, and although I would love 100+ life I don't think it's worth rerolling. Total cost was around 22.5 ex.

I was able to reach 10k dps before soul taker was in game. I suggest that you continue leveling up your gems, get a better 1h, and work on a 6L or soul taker asap. The sword you are using isn't really that great for your particular setup. Also, I would use vitality in place of determination while linked to blood magic.

You would be amazed at how much max level gems will boost your dps, keep leveling :)

Im lvl a mara like that (currently 54 with cruel piety down)
The only problems i currently face are that without soul taker i cant aura+attack -.- but well thats managable by running just 2 auras ( hatred - tempest shield )

The other problem is that currently due to updating gear * cause i ended cruel with 1350 hp or so 50% reduction and almost 50% resistances :/ ) i cant use my auras!
so im asking for suggestion on what item to change for a + int one or 2...

I would first like to thank you for posting this beautiful build on marauder, really helped me a lot!

If possible I would like your opinion of my gear, I'm level 73 and follow each point of the build, but my dps is low, about 3200 dps. Take a look and tell me if the priority would be the dawn aegis or soul taker for me, thanks again.

p.s I used a translator sorry if there was some kind of error :x

Hi there,
Since you are playing in HC I would STRONGLY recommend getting Aegis Aurora asap. It is one of the core aspects of this build and w/o it you are vulnerable. From there, I would try for either soul taker or a good 6L depending on which you can afford.

Also remember that your dps WILL increase as your gems level. The corpse explode from Infernal Blow also lends a really noticeable difference to clearing speed, so even though your tooltip dps seems low you may actually be clearing faster than most builds.

hi dragon , how u think vaal blade is good for that build or i need physical dmg weapon , i ask coz im poor and i cant buy soul taker atm :)
