Any form of Auction House in the future?

The term "Auction House" reminds me of Blizzard, World of Warcraft and that dog diarrhea they dared calling Diablo 3.

Let people socialize and trade old-school style.

You give me something I want and I'll give you something you want.

It's called TRADING lol...

It would be cool with a "for sale" board.

Basically, it'd be a place where you could list items you had but did not want, but any buying etc would have to be handled in person either by PM or mail (with the option to disable mail as to avoid spam).
NOT handled by an automated system.
No AH please.

Being able to attach a short comment to the item you post would also be nice, and in line with a barter system.
For example "I'll sell this right away for an Orb of Regret."

Edit: Maybe make the "for sale" system as easy as having it be another chest where you can place items.
There would have to be some measure to stop people from not using it as a stash, so people don't waste their times on not-for-sale items in the wrong place.

More like a bullentin board of items for trade

The idea is really just to take the spam out of the global chat, even just now in the closed beta, there can be some serious item spammage in the Global Chat...

Don't we have forums for that? =p

I'm not a big fan of alt-tabbing from games :p

Also, easier to implement an item search feature in-game, than on a 3rd-party web-page.
Diff browsers, diff protocols, diff everything...

I really dont like the idea behind an auction house, the way is described here in some posts is much better.

Then there should be a Trade Chat channel you can disable and enable for the global chat. But nothing that permanently notes down what you want to sell.
Instead when you're in town, other character could be able to right click on you and view your public stash tab.
But the opportunity for trading should always be a momentarily one, nothing organized.

When you put it like that, I can't but at least partially agree with you.

I would at least like to see an in-game board with access to the trading forums, so I don't have to alt-tab to my browser to post or read something...
