Any form of Auction House in the future?

Will it happen? I hope it does. Not a real money one, just something for people to post their stuff they want to sell.

I wouldn't bet on it...

There is a trading section of the forum.

Go read the "Beta Manifesto". There will most likely be a forum trade system where you can trade items from player to player in forum. Nothing like that ingame, and no its not auction house.

The game's currency and trading system is a barter-like system.

I will give you 2 apples for 1 orange and 2 oranges for 1 pear .. etc..

So depending what you value good gears you may pay more or less.

All about demands, but there are some good currency items all types of Orbs.

So 1 apple = 2 grapes, 1 orange = 4 grapes, 1 pear = 8 grapes. but if you really want an apple you may offer 3 grapes for an apple since you might have 1000 grapes!


at the end of the day if you don't get any apples or pears, you always have some grapes to survive off of.

I'm not really sure how you'd have an auction house that worked with the barter system the game uses.

I wouldn't mind an Auction/Broker house feature ingame.
I think it will be good to not have to log out in order to arrange your trades etc.

It doesn't need to have all the sorting functions, some simple categories or something like the forums but with ingame access will be fine imo.
Whats the difference with what we have now if it is not designed as a pay real money to win auction house?

It's not the auction house that is bad with D3 it's the focus on real money of the whole economy.

I really want to hear some arguments instead of just "NO!" answers cause there might be something evil about auction houses that i don't see.

It wouldnt work but something like an ah is extremely needed...Maybe something like a trade platform ?
