" Dude, just farm Orbs of Regret, so easy. I've got 3 Orbs of Chance, just last week. |

Shrubbery is a level 57 Ranger wielding a War Axe and a Crested Tower Shield. The build isn't really special, just a deviation from classic Bow Ranger.
After patch 0.9.10's Passive Skill Points reset I was able to go for +60% Elemental Damage. I realized also the importance of level difference so now I'm trying to be always 3 levels above the enemies. She's doing pretty good atm I reckon. However she was getting "1 shot" by rare Vaal constructs in the Vaal Ruins, so I'm waiting till level 60 or so to proceed further. This is how I "prep" her in Merciless Act 2 maps: * Swap Fire Trap with Hatred, activate it, and put back Fire Trap. * First slot is Flicker Strike, or Molten Shield depending if I need the extra damage buffer (eg. Weaver's Lair, Vaal Ruins, ...) Usually I gather a group of enemies, drop an Enfeeble Totem which acts as a short time decoy and reduces the damage taken, drop a Fire Trap, and Cleave happily through the lot :) Monkeys in Forest are especially satisfying :) Cleave + Life Gain On Hit is very useful to survive in those messy fights. When enemies spread then I Shield Charge and use Double Strike. Heavy Strike + Culling Strike is useful to finish rare enemies and life regenerating enemies. I have been experimenting with Lightning Strike + Chance to Ignite, and now Lightning Strike + Pierce + Weapon Elemental Damage (boring, right), so I don't know what combination will be on by the time you make the backups. Lightning Strike is for softening up large groups, and/or while retreating if she gets overwhelmed. She takes a bit getting used to because she's quite fragile, hence Totem and Cleave + Life Gain quite important. She's got 48% DR now with a 829 Armour shield, so my next goal is to increase Evasion on the rest of the equipment to reach 50-ish%. Hence she is now wearing a mask and I hope to replace the gloves and boots with high evasion pieces. Resists are a bit low atm. after swapping equipment so Totem's her best friend :) Once she gets some good CTE and Maxed Resists I'll use Vulnerability with L.S. + Ignite and Fire Trap, should be fun! |

Name: Ricdowi (Default)
Class: Shadow Level: 25 Build: Dual Wands with trap support Skills: Phase Run (escapes) Fire Trap (for AOE) Power Siphon with Lesser Multiple Projectiles support (main attack skill) Projectile Weakness curse mostly for the pierce. Raise Zombie Play style: Curse enemies in front with projectile weakness and lay down waves of Power Siphone goodness. Follow up with traps if needed and have a few wondering zombies around to draw fire. Not really the best build but it's fun :) "So Shines a Good Deed in a Weary World" - Willy Wonker Last edited by PoERickety#3167 on Jun 16, 2012, 1:50:17 AM

You could play my HC Bowrauder Coloussus. I will also specifically remake my aura/summoner character for this.
RIP Bolto

" He does have a character like that. Or had. I don't know if he still does. He made a thread about it. Don't you remember seeing THIS THREAD? |

We've posted the first episode here! Here's a thread to discuss it, which includes a link to the video.
Please keep the nominations coming! Thanks :D | |
@Chris : Do builds that use known exploits like aura gem swapping count as able to participate :P
