I enjoy theorycrafting & helping people. This is allows me to do both :) Keep asking questions, everyone benefits from the answers.

I keep the build on the front page up to date. If you meant gear, the gear linked on the 2nd page is what I use. Its just posted from a separate account.

I spent a few more hours farming/maps in heavy quantity/rarity gear without the shield block passives. The ES delay improvement & overall ES increase is well worth it. We get more benefit from armguards with high ES in the absence of block passives. Which to use is entirely up to you.

Lightning Strike



This Lightning Strike setup is for farming. Only just recently did I start using a 6link. Make a 5 link & take out Faster Attacks. Ideally removing Mana Leech would be best. However some maps restrict HP & Mana regen lol. Leech is paramount for these maps.

Max dps swap iiq for

& Increased Criticals for pure dps (bout 2k difference) or Elemental Proliferation for serious crowd control/support in a party. Both support gems are currently linked in farm gear to keep gaining xp.



Shield Charge is the second most important skill to link.



All ya truly need is Faster Attack linked to it. The rest is devious fun :)

So if a four link is the best you could get for your lightning strike, you would use Mana Leech, Faster Attacks and Weapon Elemental Damage?

Faster Attacks can be switched out. In fact Increased Crit should yield more dmg. If you are lacking the dps to stop a zerg try Elemental Proliferation. You will freeze/chill more enemies for longer.

I started last Friday in the open beta. Made a shadow and followed your passive skill tree. By Sunday I got level 33 and enjoy the game so much I bought a package. My question is, what skill gems should I prioritize getting first? I only have one character and it has been really hard just to get Lightning Strike, finally got it this morning.

Wow you cranked some levels out! The next priority is acquiring the Weapon Elemental Damage gem.

This build's defensive philosophy centers around player skill. Get out of the way! Get out of the way faster with Shield Charge linked to Faster Attacks. Bind shield charge to a key which you can instantly use without hesitation. For me this is Right Mouse.

Use the Green dex gems. Frenzy, Double Strike, Elemental Hit, Viper Strike are all viable options. Especially while you are building your LS support chain.

The great aspect of PoE is you can pretty much do whatever the hell works best. You get 2 free respec points per difficulty & Orbs of Regret are accessible.

Hell I was all spell & elemental damage early on & threw fire traps at everything like grenades & used detonate dead like a maniac lol.

I've been using, flicker strike whir blades. I just got shield charge but im not sure I like it that much as an escape button, i got used to whirlind blades. I attached a less proticle gem to LS so i can hit more targets. How do you farm this game? cuz finding skill gems is impossible
