[Retracted] WASD Movement

not that i hate wsad or something but its a way to easy for bots to drive character trough dungeons etc.

Your argument is completely invalidated due to there being perfect bots in D2 that used pure mouse.

You know how blizzard is making D3 unplayable offline to prevent sparse piracy? Removing WASD because bots might use it is following the same terrible logic.
WASD is a horrid idea, this is a point and click game this isnt wow... you will like point and click better.. i promise.
If fluid and responsive WASD controls were implemented I'd be concerned that this would naturally favor ranged dps classes.
THE GAME WOULD BE EXACTLY THE SAME. You could still just use your mouse to do everything if you wanted to with this option selected.

The only difference is that you would ALSO be able to use WASD for movement. This would mean you would have to remap whatever ir currently associated with W, and perhaps ASD, but thats a rather short order.

I still haven't read one good reason to not add this... other than some imagined time budget of it causing something else not be implemented. I am not saying there is no time budget, but no one here knows what it is specifically with respect to different features.

Keep in mind that GGG is taking a "when it's finished" approach to the development.
WASD isn't for dungeon crawlers friend. I need those keys for quickslots and skill sets and hot keys and anything of the like.
Personally I'm perfectly fine with Point and click and always will be. The keyboard is just an extension in these kinds of games anyways. Half the fun is knowing I can just click anything I want without requiring my other hand on the keyboard. (Teehee)
So I kicked him in the head till he was dead! Nyeahahaha!
I think WASD works well in games like WoW because you are able to maneuver the camera as desired from first person to 3rd person.
In dungeon crawlers where the camera is in a fixed position WASD feels too un-natural and to be honest un-necessary, though it may be 'modern' point and click is just fine. Working in diablo anyway.
All hail the timer!

To put it briefly: Please add a WASD-Movement. :-)
I like wsad but not in such game.
Mouse movement in this case is like a tradition which shouldnt be changed ;]

Btw.

Odd all those non ISO games, especially on console, that dont seem to agree...
Hi, i hate the WASD movement on every game; i always re-map the movement keys to the Arrow Keys and the rest to the surrounding keys, like the CTRL, the numpad Insert/Zero, the Insert, Del, Home, End, Page Up/Down, Enter key and Backslash.

Move the character with the keyboard will be easyer as you wouldn't need to click more than four hundred times for walk a entire map, more clicks are needed on the dungeons, aside of the possible and avoidable complications like take objects that you don't want while in the middle of a fight or when you walk from one point to another.

I'll like that we could move the character with the mouse and keyboard and that we were able of re-map our keybinds to use any key that we may want to move, interact or use things like active skills or potions too; more freedom use to be better most of the times. Let's C ya
