[Retracted] WASD Movement
I definitely support WASD controls, and honestly likely will not play the game without them. I love this genre of game, but detest the clickfest that some of them end up becoming.
I hope they will make it an option, but it sounds like they have already decided not to include it which is too bad. |

" Well, I can guarantee I won't, what a silly post. |
|
" What the heck does WoW have to do with WASD movement, what are you so braindead about WOW that the entire gaming universe was spawned by Diablo or WoW? |
|
I agree . But it would be fun if you will have the option to choose . WASD or mouse movement . Hope they will implement such thing .
More options are always welcome . Try not to waste it .

wasd to move and mouse to aim as an option would be my preference.

Mouse movement is far more fluid and leaves the left hand open for abilities and such; the division of control between hands seems natural to me.
Also, it's probably rougher on the hands to use the WASD system. |
|
Implementing this could have lead to more controle over the characters but that is to little reason to implement it, futhermore since using spells or skills can't be done while moving it is pretty much unnessesary.

Click to move is a huge part of these diablo style games, and I would'nt want to change it for the world, however, implementing WASD movement alongside click to move would probably be a good idea, just making it an option to enable. :)

In the end it would all come down to choosing between the two. 2,5d isometric game with WASD keys would be vastly different in a way your character moves, to point and click moving.. so much that for example pvp content would be affected a lot by it.
Here's an example. Lets say one dude uses WASD, other mouse to move.. other can "strafe" dodge and pinpoint shoot arrows, while other has to go from clicking to move to clicking to cast spells and attacks... you get what I mean. Belive me, WASD just doesnt fit games like PoE. Hands down.
