PM me if you have any questions!
Game just crashed a few seconds after I entered Tidal Island (still low level). As well, it was giving me a lot of graphical weirdness -- a quarter of the screen turning into a solid block of color and chunks of terrain not loading -- when I was playing earlier.

Also, it seems like you cannot resize the window without the game messing up where the mouse is pointing. In other words, when I tried to make the window larger, it treated my mouse clicks as though they were still inside the small window, not the new size.

I'm using a MacBook Pro from 2008 with a 2.53 GHz processor, 4GB memory, and NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512 MB graphics card. Are these problems on my end with the hardware? Or does the Mac port just need more work?
Nope after updating to 0.9.11e I have been having more and more problems. Crashes quite often now when I am entering a zone and for some reason I cannot enter the Lower Prison via waypoint without it crashing of having crazy graphical anomolies. Hoping that this is fixed soon, of course my wife leaves for the weekend and this happens!

Also i was wondering if anyone knew if the Pack Checker was installed as part of this port. I went looking through the files but could not find it anywhere. I downloaded the .exe file but dont know where to install it.

This is why it isn't really possible to play a game that isn't supporting your OS with a real client. I hope GGG ends up working on a Mac version.
After monitoring this topic, I found many people have problem with crashes and graphic corruption (including me).

So I tryied to tune the FKNKickass's wrapper and I think I have found solution. I was able to play 2 hours without single graphic corruption or crash, (location changed at least 20 times)

So here I present the tuned up FKNKickass's wrapper.
Download v2

Part 1 (200MB)
Part 2 (111MB)

If you have problem with unzipping, use "The unarchiver" from app store (free)

Changes

Engine changes
- WineCX11.2.0
- Wineskin 2.5.6 (there should be no occasional OSX crashes (gray screen of death) also includes updated X11)

Configuration changes
- set -gc 1 option - this should fix the graphics corruption (at least it does on my side)
- AlwaysOffScreen ON (should also help to fix things, and since wine 1.5.10 should by on by default)

Note: I had some issues during compiling wine. This wrapper will work on Mountain Lion but I am not certain with Lion and Snow Leopard

1.5.10 is EXTREMELY laggy on my system running Lion

If you have AMD card, that is fixed in my wrapper.
I tried downloading your new wrapper, and still crash on attempting to load a new zone (crossroads). When i load the forest encampment, it's fine and plays well. Not sure what diagnostic info i can provide to help debug this.

Well i played through the 1st Act, with only one graphical glitch (occurred in prisons after posting the wrapper :( )

Currently I am in Forest encampment, I will make the way to crossroads and check the stability. I have a bunch of engines which may improve the behavior of game. Currently I am testing WineCX11.2.0 engine (based on Wine 1.4 + some patches), for now I did not encountered any glitch (prison - forest encampment)
Thats for the update guys... so you are saying that this Tune-Up works well only under Mtn Lion and has varied results under Lion?

I was able to play for a few hours last night with minimal graphical issues. Found out that something to do with the lower prison waypoint was causing it to crash as I could jump to the Rocky Climb and then enter from there. Got all the way to the Ship Graveyard (beat brutus) without much issue or a single crash.
